Likely be a main fuse it's not the relay if it clicks. The only problem is their must have been a fault for the fuse to blow. Did you overload the system ie. fit spotlight's or simular without a seperate relay. The fuse will be a problem but not a cure.

Relays will click when they're getting power to initiate them. They may not be getting power from their main source. Check under hood for a set of fusible links, if all your small fuses in fuse box are good.

Aurora 4.0 im stumped checked starer relay and car still wont start clicking ssound comin from backseat jumped it whats wrong

What year vehicle ? The clicking sound you hear from bake seat is probably a relay ! There is a fuse / relay box under the back seat ! How did you check the starter relay ? Just pull it out an look at it ? Was it #36 START 1 Relay
-- Starter Solenoid and PCM in the under hood fuse / relay Box ?
This relay is computer energized - PCM supply's a ground to circuit 447 which energizes the relay sending voltage to the starter S terminal engaging the starter . Do you have a test light or a volt ohm meter ? If you pull out the starter relay an look on the bottom you will see some numbers , 85,86 an 30,87 . match them up to the holes they came out of . Check out this video on YouTube ,you can check for voltage an computer control . Is the SECRUITY light lit on the dash ?

1993 mercury villager wont start wont even +urn over no lights on dash when key is turned on battery is charged and even tried jumping it off nothing no lights no horn no radio no nothing i cleaned cables...

Follow the smaller red start wire from the starter to the inhibit relay. Pull the relay out and interrogate the relay socket with a multimeter or test light. Use the diagram at the link below to troubleshoot the circuit.

Ford territory wont start, all lights on dash working, fuses look good tried to start with antother battery still wont go?

You may have an issue with the starter relay, since the battery seems fine, and jumpstart wouldn't do any good. An excellent way to check is by asking someone to tap on the started with a hammer, while you attempt to start the vehicle. If the car cranks, the problem may be fixable; If not, you may have to replace the starter relay.

Have a 2004 Dodge Stratus 2.7 just replaced the starter with a new one and still wont start. All the lights and everything lights up on dash but the Car wont crank up! All wires are hooked up to the...

I'm guessing that it isn't even turning over. There are a couple of things you can check. Both are in the power distribution box under the hood of the vehicle (see picture below). Also below is a picture of the fuse and relay layout. There is one fuse directly related to the starter relay (number 8 marked with a red arrow) and also the starter relay itself (also marked with a red arrow). I hope this helps.

Clickin noise in fuse box below dash clickin noise similar to indicating will be slower when indicating and noise is faster when not is sometimes not clickin at all

I would say that is one of your relays or fuse. It may actually be on your engine firewall, even though it seems to be from under the dash.

Starter wont turn over

It would help a whole lot if you could describe the problem with more information. Do any of the lights on the car work? Do you hear any noise when you attempt to start car?
Try moving the gear shifter out of Park position and then back again a few times. Turn the key to the start position a few times.
Problem could be a bad ignition switch, neutral safety switch, starter or starter relay (located in underhood fuse box, #47 relay)

No start condition new battery , good starter, turn key to start position light come on dash, go forward to start light go out and you hear click under dash area like relay, no power getting to starter....

no starter relay is always at the fuse relay box at the engine compartment. The relay that you hear is the relay for the accessories to turn off the power during starting position.

When i go to start the car the lights come on but it doesn't even attempt to start, there is now clickin, just nothing.

My 98 Eclipse w/turbo is doing the exact same thing. I have checked the battery and good, the wires good, the starter good. I read that there is a relay in the dash for starting the car. Could this be the issue?
