There are two power sources for your radio...one is full time and powers the clock, the other is on the accessory side...only hot with key on. check that power supply. Remember...fuses dont wear out...they blow for a reason. If you find a faulty fuse replace it...if it blows again, it is because there if a fault somewhere.

Which fuse is the cd player in the fuse box

One circuit is constant power to keep the clock and station pre-set memory maintained. The other is for the radio in general. If the clock works, pull both radio fuses and put them back in one at a time to see which one is constant power. If one of them is blown, you can usually see the wire inside it is burned with a gap. I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the CD player apart from the one for the radio. If the radio works but the CD player doesn't, I'm guessing it's an internal problem.

Radio in 2003 jeep grand cherokee does not play cd's. it plays the radio stations, volume works, but it does not eject the cd or even recognize it .

you can look for a radio shop to repair the cd player it would be cheaper to install a aftermarket radio they do have kits if you have steering wheel controls

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Radio and tape player works fine. Inserted 10-cd magazine and can hear cd's loading, but no light display on radio when cd button pushed. Is this fixable?

yes but why fix a 12 year old player ? something else will just go wrong after that heck cd players are cheap today and fit right in that opening

My Cd player in my 2004 Jeep grand cherokee laredo wont eject the cd. It recognizes that there is a cd there and will even play the cd when i press the mode button but it wont eject it. Any help is...

I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and the other day when I went to hit the the eject button on the CD player it automatically went straight to the radio. After I restarted the vehicle I could hit mode and it would begin to play the cd again but if I tried to hit eject it would go to the radio again. It doesnt have a disc changer and everything else on the factory head unit is working find, the radio, all that stuff. I didnt want to start tearing things apart or trying to dig it out. I have sees some others with the same problem on here, but the answer are like "dig in there with tweezers" and I dont think thats the best possible way to solve the problem. Any Ideas?

2006 jeep grand cherokee won't start every now and then dearler can't find anything everything comes on lights dash radio works but will not start one time got it started in neutral

gear selection cable might be out of adjustment. neutral safety switch acting up. possibly a defective ignition control module. they get flaky like that. work fine then all of a sudden they wont start 1nce or twice, then they work fine for months then dont work for a day or two.

Raido Clock and Key not working

opening the door manuelly will cause no harm to your jeep. if you have an owners manuel the index will tell you the location for your fuses and witch fuse is for each thing that it's for. check your fuses. it's quite possible that is the problem
