SOURCE: 2001 mazda protege will not start

well, with all that you have changed the only two possible things that are left PCM and the ECM....

Do you have an alarm system on this vehicle? If you purchased this car second hand it may have something that is inhibiting the engine from firing. From what you have told us here that would be where I would start looking.

I really hope this is helpfull

SOURCE: Where is the ignition coil pack located on 2002

The ignition power pack and (aka ignition coil) is located on the 2004 Mazda MPV at the end of each spark plug wire on top of the spark plug. The front ones are easy to replace and all 3 can be done in about 30 min. The back ones are another issue. I had to take off the intake manifold on the top of the engine to get to them. This was about a 5 hour job. The installation of the new unit is pretty simple once you gain access to them. you simply disconnect a clip on wire and take out one screw and reverse the process to put in the new ones. Factory units run about $80 each. You can get them at other locations in after markets for as low as $55. Good Luck.

SOURCE: obd2 code p0300 on mazda protege 2002

Just had one of these with a maxima, the code is multiple random misfire, when a misfire occurs, to start is do the basics, replace the plugs, check fuel pressure, clean throttle body, and coolant is topped up. also I have seen if the O2 sensor is not working correctly is can cause a misfire, you will need a scan tool to look at what the O2 sensor is doing, o rby back probing the sensor (don't damage the O2 sensor wires). If it wires replace them as well, if it has coils they usually dont give that code if one fails, it will pinpoint that a certain coil if one fals.

2002 mazda shows 0660 code # 2 cylinder is missing

Pull the plug and look for oil on it. If that is the case, you might have an oil ring that is bad...at this point you will need to do a pressure test to confirm that. If no sign of leak, check for fire to the cylinder with a spark tester...you might want to do that first of all, then if there isn't any fire, trace it back to wire or coil, or module. Good luck.

2002 mazda protege tcc locked up on auto trans stalls hard when put into forward or reverse.clicking relay under dash sounds like directional is on but is not . lights on some heater controls also...

you might want to check the battery voltage if you have a battery going bad on you this would cause all the symptoms due to not enough voltage in the system.
