Hello, I’m seeing quite a few Zx7 questions but not specifically with same issues as mine. To generally sum it up...it’s a 95. Mechanically great, no cut wires or burns, etc. having some sort of electrical issue I cannot locate. I’m leaning towards it being a faulty ECU but I’ve just purchased another with no difference. Bike gets no power to headlights, fuel pump, relay, nothing. Grey wires test at approx 6v. Ignition resistor is new, all connections are cleaned, I’ve redone the start switch, What can I check/test to diagnose ecu? I can try to do a bypass jump with solenoid and it turns over very weakly but will not start nor even pump fuel. Thank you for your time.

These may seem obvious questions but have you checked any fuses? How old is the battery and is it fully charged? Sometimes an older battery can appear fully charged but is weak when 'under load'.

SOURCE: 95 F150 wont crank

the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.

SOURCE: electrical problem 89 gmc pickup

yeah it could be. It can also be the relay.

I would have done this to trace the problem.

1.) connect a wire from the positive battery terminal directly to the fuel pump. (REMOVE FROM TANK AND DRY OFF FUEL FIRST) the pump should turn on if not check the grounding!! (that could be the problem)

2.) if the pump works itd then connect the wire to the one that comes of the relay. If it works check the com wire that triggers the relay. of not then trace that wire from the relay to the pump.

3.) connect it to the wire that comes of the ignition switch to the replay. It should start pumping if not. check fuse. If it works check switch.

Careful with doing this. i normally attach a 10 amp fuse to the wire to be on the safe side. i also remove the fuel and open that gas lid, remove the pump and work with the pump outside the tank to avoid spark(if any) setting the fuel on fire.

2012 Hyundai Verna diesel model error code P0489 EGR valve issue. I have already cleaned EGR but error code still there.

Question edited for all the typos.

The code needs to be reset using a code reader/scanner tool. Often it will go after few days driving if the issue is fixed. Sometimes though, the EGR actually needs replacing because it is mechanically broken.

1990 Subaru Legacy will crank but not fire up. Just got it for free. It was running great, then it started running rough for a few days. It sat for about a month and now will not start. Got it for free....

Generally it is a matter of the easy/cheap approach first. Replace the fuel filter if you can followed by spark plugs. Since it ran fine initially then degraded it is likely that this is a fuel delivery or spark to ignition problem. Beyond these relatively cheap fixes the issue may entail a fuel pump or ignition coil(s). Good luck, these are quite durable and dependable vehicles generally.

Series II 4.0 litre V8 Land Rover Discovery runs but stalls out after a few miles. The vehicle restarts after cooling down it seems. This generally takes a couple of hours or a tow back home. Service

Sounds like the same issue I had with my 2002 Discovery 2 V8. Mine used to run for about 10 minutes, then die, usually in the most inconvenient locations! The Crank sensor is in need of replacement. It sits near the exhaust downpipe (behind a heat shield) but obviously this shield isn't enough as they die after about 80,000-100,000 miles. Just get it replaced and I think your issues will solved.

95 legacy awd with a slipping clutch

yes the problem is that the pressure plates is getting weak and doesnt keep enuf pressure on the clutch. ive replaced clutch sets on many diff vehicles and when they act like u decribe its usually the pressure plate. replace entire clutch kit and if u decent mechanically u should be able to do it. in a clutch kit they give u a diagram and directions. keep a very good note on what parts u took off where to ensure u put them back in the right place

That might be a challenge, but if it's anything in particular, you need, maybe I can help. Usually the manuals are generic anyway, and cover quite a few models in general. I will look at RV dealership that I'm currently working at and see what's there if anything, if that's any help to you. Let me know for sure your year & model # by entry door usually.

Oil pressure

oil pressure at 5 bar all the time is generally a good sign and normal. After some enthusiastic driving on hot day you might see it drop a little when the car is idling. There are unfortunately quite a few things that can go wrong but many cars that run well for a lot of miles so if its running well don't look for trouble!! There is a couple of forums the maserati forum and and sports maserati forum with member who have the manuals on disk and will send them to you if you ask nicely. I bought a printed copy form e-bay, it wasn't cheap but its a proper maserati manual so its quite a thing!!
