10k miles added to my odometer after oil change and reset light

The oil change light will come on automatically after a set number of miles (possibly 7,000 for your car). Here's how to reset the oil light:

(a) Set the odometer display window to ODO with the button.
(b) Turn the ignition switch (key) off.
(c) Press and hold down the reset button, and then turn the key to the ON or ACC position. Keep holding down the reset button for at least 5 seconds after you've turned the key.
(d) The next time you start your car the warning light should be off.

1992 Saturn odometer is multiplying the miles on the odometer for every .5 miles it registers 2 miles

Have you changed the size of the tires ?
If not, the speed sensor or the odometer could be faulty.

Showed originally 226,335 miles. overnite when turned on, odometer now has reset showing T_ _86.6 miles.

Most newer trucks and suv's have a digital odometer. the miles odometer and trip odometer are combinded. By pressing the little button that patrudes from the instument cluster will show you the orignal 226,335 miles. When you press and hold the button while the T__86.6 is displayed will reset the trip odometer. Some people use the trip odometer to monitor times between oil changes and tire rotations.

How do i read my 91 ford explorer odometer?

Are you looking at the odometer or the tripometer? If it only has 5 digits it does not read the tenths of a mile only whole miles. So just read it as milage like 10 miles not 1.0 miles.

Cambelt

Hi, I'm not sure exactly what kind of help you are looking for, but is it possible that miles and kilometres are getting mixed up?

Of course km might be "kilometres" or it might be "thousand miles" if someone hasn't been careful with their words.

92,000 miles isn't far from 120,000 kilometres, and if there is any doubt it is always better to get the cambelt changed too early than too late - that's when you need to buy a complete new engine.

Hope this helps you. D.
