If it is "fly by wire" it is a module located under top of accelerator pedal - if it is a cable it is attached near or on to throttle body. https://www.6ya.com/callphilipforhelp

SOURCE: Where is the fuel pressure regulator on a 2003 oldsmobile alero?

There are 2 fuel lines connecting to the fuel injector rail. The larger line is the pressure line and the smaller line is the return line. The smaller line attaches to the fuel pressure regulator. You will notice that the regulator also has a vacuum line attached to it. If you are planning on changing it your self, let me know. There is a specific way to change it for safety reasons.
Let me know.

SOURCE: 2003 Oldsmobile Alero Flasher fuse

I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, Its located behind the hazard button to the right of the speedo cluster. If you have a clicking noise as if your turn signal was on or hazard buttons pressed. Its not your flasher problem. I had to tear apart half the dash and found out that was not problem. Its the turn signal/ wiper switch located on top the steering column. Its very easy to change. The top piece above the turn lever and wiper lever just snaps out. One torx screw holds it in. Unscrew then lift up there are a few wire plugs in the back. Lift up on the wire tabs and pull plugs out. Reverse order to replace with new part that I bought from Napa auto parts for around $150. You can do this if you have very novice skills and 1 torx bit tool. If can help in any other way, just let me know and good luck.....YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Why does my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero act like it's going to die as I'm slowing down and only then but never actually dies

Could be a few different thing's that could cause your problem . Dirty throttle plate , dirty IAC - idle air control passages , mass air flow sensor problem . Videos on youtube showing how to check these thing's .

My alero idles fast

Usually a sign of a faulty idle air control valve, a sticky throttle plate, or a vac leak.
The computer uses the control valve on the throttle body to control idle speed by regulating how much air enters the throttle body and intake.

How do I install throttle position sensor on 2001 oldsmobile alero

Hi,

I have a 2004 Alero ( similar procedure in your model as well ) and I just figured out today and replaced my throttle position sensor. I'm not sure what the black plastic "box" is called that is above the throttle assembly...but I had to remove that to get to the throttle position sensor underneath. If you can locate the two wires that control the throttle assembly...then the throttle position sensor is on the other side of the throttle assembly. I had to remove the large tube that went from the air filter to the black plastic "box" above the throttle assembly. Also disconnected anything else connected to that black plastic "box". Then pulled that "box" up and right there on the left side of the throttle assembly was the throttle assembly sensor. Here is a web page with a picture that helped me figure out where it was :-

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.
