SOURCE: PCM module, ECM module 1996 Chevy Suburban K model

Powertrain Control Module = under right side of dash, near blower motor.
Engine Control Module = same as above
Vehicle Control Module = same as above

All Suburban vehicles are equipped with only one of these choices. Good luck.

SOURCE: where is the thermostat in a 2004 chevy malibu 4

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, the Thermostat is under the Thermostat housing that the upper hose attaches to at the engine. If you go to Auto Zone and pick up the Thermostat, they can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the thermostat with common tools and should take you no more then 30 min to do. Note: make sure you replace the antifreeze lost with a 50/50 mixture or just replace the whole coolant in the system since they have a life time of 100,000 miles of 5 years and it looks like your 5 years are up if it's never been replaced. The dexi cool is know to crystallize and cause flow restriction through out the coolant jackets in the engine. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted.

SOURCE: Change headlight on 2008 Chevy Malibu

Hi there,

Well first you can please follow the below steps -
1. Make sure the ignition key is in the off position and the headlight switch is off. Release the hood latch.
2. Open the hood and locate the top of the headlight assembly where you intend to change the headlight. If a plastic shroud is present, locate the center bolt and remove it with a ratchet and a socket. Lift the shroud out of the way to access the headlight assembly retaining brackets. Some later models may feature a snap-release shroud requiring no tools to remove.
3. Locate the brackets on the top rear of each side of the headlight assembly. Lift them all the way up to align the hole on the bottom of each bracket to the retaining tabs on the assembly.
4. Pull the assembly forward away from the Malibu, but be careful not to scratch the bumper. There are three guide pins that require unseating. The guide pins are what aim the headlights and it may take some wiggling to get the pins from their seats.
5. Support the assembly with one hand and then reach behind the unit with the other. The low beam bulb is on the outside, the high beam bulb is on the inside. You can also replace the parking light if desired. Locate the wire harness connection. Un-clip the wire harness from the back of the bulb socket. Remove the bulb by turning it counterclockwise 1/3 of a turn to align the release tabs of the ring and the assembly. Wiggle the bulb out of the assembly.
6. Place the latex gloves on your hands before opening the package of the replacement bulb. Oil in our skin can damage the glass bulbs of halogen headlights.
7. Carefully insert the new bulb into the ring and then align the tabs of the ring to the tabs of the headlight assembly. Push inward and then twist clockwise 1/3 of a turn to lock the bulb in place. Reattach the wire harness. Rest the headlight assembly inside its cavity and test the operation of the headlight before securing the headlight assembly in place. Be sure to turn the lights and ignition back off.
8. Align the three guide pins to their seats and push the assembly back into them gently until they snap into place. Replace the retaining brackets by pushing them downward to lock into place. Replace shroud, if applicable. Remove the tools and old bulb and close the hood. Post comments for further help or information......

Good Luck!!

SOURCE: i need to find out

The cam sensor is on the back of the engine, drivers side. On the side of the head, facing the wheel. Just under the rocker arm cover. Only thing on that side. Four bolts to remove it.

2008 Chevy Malibu LS has crank but won't start

Did it run okay after the starter was changed? There are lots of ideas in the link, but really, you need a mobile auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Communication issues between modules.

How do I program new remote for 2008 chevy malibu

Since it Issa Malibu you have to take it to a Chevy dealer. They have a hand-held computer they plug into your car to program the new transmitter to the BCM (body control module). Call for estimate, probably $50-$60?

I have a 2008 Chevy Malibu lt 4 cyl.. The check engine light came on and a code p0010 came on what does it mean?

{: ) Code P0010 refers to a fault at the Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit Bank 1. This code will set if the ECM (Engine Control Module) detects that the commanded state of the driver and the actual state of the control circuit do not match for greater than 3 s.
The service procedure requires close monitoring with a scan tool. Well it may be too technical for you, but simply put, it may require replacing the CMP actuator solenoid valve if it fails the component test. If the component is found to be okay, the circuit and wirings should be checked for possible shorts or open, and also the signal performance. If all circuit tests proved normal, a replacement ECM may be recommended.
If the engine light and code is consistently present, most likely it's the actuator solenoid valve. Check it out with your trusted mechanic. Goodluck.
