If no dash lights are on You most likely have a main fuse blown.....Look under the hood for a plastic fuse box on top of the wheel well close to the battery......All power to the car begins here......Fuse ID will be printed on the box lid.......

SOURCE: My 2000 Mercedes Benz S500 is dead- electronic key does not

It's not that unusual for a battery to fail that soon, and the "no lights, no nothing" says that it's the battery again. Your best bet at this point is to pull the battery and take it to the point of purchase for testing. They should either replace it under warranty or charge it for you. After you replace the battery you should have the charging/electrical system checked for possible shorts or power drains.

SOURCE: Car will turn over but won't start. Through the

No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.--------- To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.-------- The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
--------
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
----------- If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Testimonial: "Thanks. That was the best answer yet.I didn't want to hear that the PCM might need to be replaced but the car has served it's purpose through the year"

My w202 benz wont start but gives on, the fuel pump doesn't run and the starter wont crank the engine when i try to start it. i even tried to bypass the starter but it wont crank

Try checking fuse, relay of related system. Example fuel pump fuse and relay. For starter motor, check gear position is in P or N position or not.

My 2007 Mercedes Benz won't start. the fuel pump comes on and all lights work fine! I hear a click from what I believe is the starter but after that, nothing! Can anyone help?

If the battery is in good condition check the following;
Make sure the battery terminals are clean and well connected to the posts.
Check the ground cable has a good clean connection to the chassis / engine. Don't assume its OK, loosen the bolt, wiggle it to clear any corrosion and retighten.
Look at your relay box(usually under the hood) locate the starter relay from the lid or owners handbook. Have someone turn the key and see if the click is the relay. If it is then the starter is next. If there is a second click from the solenoid atop the starter but no action you may have to remove the starter for further testing or replacement.
You can check the juice to the starter from the relay with a 12v test lamp and touch the smaller cable post on the starter when someone turns the key. If it lights OK then the starter is at fault.

C230 2005 will not start

If it fails to turn over then check on battery condition and on battery connections (do full beam headlights stay consistently bright for ten minutes). If Ok then check on wiring to and from starter motor and on condition of starter motor brushes. If turning over can you hear the fuel pump running; whirring sound when key at position prior to 'start'. If no fuel pump check on fuse for pump relay, check on relay, check on voltage at pump. If pump supplied with voltage but not running give it knock to see if you can get some kind of response from it. If completely dead replace pump and filter assembly.

Can't find the fuel pump relay on my 1990 190E Mercedes. Every thing I see says it is in the engine compartment behind the battery. Not so on my 190E. Where else could the fuel pump relay be?

Relay should be behind fuses under a screwed down cover. My question to you is why would you think the relay is bad? Check voltage at the pump as someone turns the car to on. At this age it's most likely a dead or dying pump. Other things to consider are OVP relay (behind the battery) , coil dead, general tune up ie plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

1992 mercedes 300e cranks over starts for a second then die

Could be a number of things. Start with the fuel pump relay. When your key is in the start/crank pos. it overides the relay as soon as you release the key to run possition the relay has to stay ingaged or the fuel pump will shut off. Also look in your owners manuel for impact or emergency fuel shut off switch reset.

Hard to start

You will only hear the pump for a couple of seconds until it pressures up. Your problem could be a faulty idle control system / sensor.
