FIXED ? PROBABLY IF YOU GOT ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED COULD BE A BROKEN CAM BELT

Diesel or petrol?
If it has overheated in diesel too expensive - replace with 2nd hand motor
If petrol sometimes heads warp and can be replaced but pistons may need to be replaced as well.
If camshaft belt breaks it is rare to take out all cylinders, sounds more like severe overheating. if so pistons usually seize then let go but rings remain in grooves letting compression into sump and blows oil out extremities like timing case and rear main seal at gearbox . Can be tested by pouring 25mm of engine oil in cylinder then re-testing compression> if rings compression will increase. If valves the compression will not change. Good luck

SOURCE: one cylinder has zero compression. took head off

OK!... did you do a cylinder 'leak down test'?.. .if not, do it! If any 'unacceptable' leakage, have the head REDONE! NOW!.. you must BE SURE the valve timing is accurate!... Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

SOURCE: Toyota 1.4 ZZ-FE engine will not start.

How about some history.. like was it running OK and then was parked, and later would not start? or has it been sitting? or quit while driving down the road?? Mileage? Does it run good now? If so I would recommend using Chevron Techron Fuel additive to clean up the injectors and back of the intake valves. That could help if indeed the valves are a problem. Some repair shops have a Motorvac or BG Injector cleaning/ intake manifold cleaning that would possibly help that.

SOURCE: #4 cylinder on my 2.2L camry has no compression.

The head gasket might be bad around that cylinder, or the piston rings are worn and not holding the compression.

No compression on 4 cylinders

Yes, you are right. Someone doesn't know what a crank sensor is. Four cylinders at zero means engine repairs are needed. It's a mechanical problem. Very strange that four are zero. Was engine overheated causing head gaskets failure?

1990 jeep wrangler motor has no compression

Take it back to the shop that did the engine overhaul. No compression at all? They did something very wrong. Does the distributor shaft and rotor turn when cranking the engine? Are you sure your compression tester is working and hasn't failed? Is it possible they got the timing for the crank and camshaft all wrong? Take it back to them and demand they fix it, if it truly has no compression. It will never start without compression.

I have a 2001 ford taurus ses with a 6 cyl 3.0L DOHC engine. Getting error codes P0304,P0305 and P0306 from check engine light. Light alternates between flashing and steady. Lots of hesitation and...

Codes say Cylinder 4, 5 & 6 are not firing. This could be a spark issue or a fuel issue or a mechanical engine failure. Is compression zero? Did they use a compression tester?
