Start at top front corner with forked pry after removing door handles and door pulls Most clips are hidden behind door closer around wheel arch and unable to be removed. you may have to make long sharp bladed chisel style tool to cut plastic plugs between door card and metal. Remove inner felt seal and should be able to get coat hanger modified to pull inner door wire leading to locking mechanism

Hi there.
The procedure is roughly the same for all mk3 x types.
You need to remove all the screws on the armrest and on the ashtray, then undo all the plastic clips using screwdrivers on the panel.
You find detailed instructions on links below, I quote:
"
remove two screws at the bottom of the armrest.
pull out ash tray.
remove screw in the middle of the ash tray holder.
pull up on armrest, it should pop up, then pull it out
start at bottom right of door and start popping out the plastic clips (all the way around the door)
(remove speaker wires)
push up door panel - done"

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

You should obtain a tool made specifically for removing door panels. They are attached by "snap" connectors, and by pulling on the door panel itself will invariably ruin it. Get the tool from a parts place and carefully peer into the slot between the door metal and the door panel. Use the tool slowly with resolution. You should really acquire a manual that guides you for your particular Jag.
Remember, to take the panel completely off, you need to remove the door handle. Look for a plug that has a screw under it. You'll need to pop the door window/lock control panel too, to access screws under there. This can be tricky, so be careful.
