There's a good chance the speedometer is bad, pay special attention to the connector as you remove the cluster I've seen wher the top of the connector wasn't snapped in. There are repair shops that fix speedometers. I hope this helps. Take care.

SOURCE: 1991 Dodge Daytona Speedometer and Odometer not working.

I had the same problem with my 90 daytona. The tach and the speedometer would work intermitantly. I took the whole gauge cluster out, and heated all the soldering with a solder gun to reflow the connections. It seems that this is a common problem with the connections cracking. You may not be able to see the cracks in the solder.

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on my 1991 Dodge

The fuel filter is not IN the fuel tank. The Fuel PUMP is IN the fuel tank. The Filter is mounted to the underneath of the truck bed NEXT to the Fuel tank. Its alittle smaller than a soda can with two fuel hoses connected to it.

Gas gauge jumping around

Gas gauge jumping around usually implies fuel level sensor in tank is going bad...Usually if the gauge in dash is going bad will read empty or at various positions depending on fuel level in tank..Electrical short problem in gauge usually affects other gauges in cluster

Speedo needle jumps up and down tranmission jumps around also changed speed sensior and pcm runs ok for 15 min. no luck

i have the same problem with me 2000 montana. i was told that it was the tcc switch. it means that the torque converter is stuck in the on postion. to fix the problem i was told either to swap out the tranny with another used one or to have the switch replaced. the switch is internal and they need to drop the trans down to access the panel on the front driver side. the part is only $90 but its 3 hours labour.

1991 Dodge 318 no spark

Yes,an ohmeter across the two power leads(pimary) should yeild a fairly low resistance I'm not sure on the specs but it is just a winding so maybe 10 ohms, then test the secodary winding with one lead to either power lead and one lead to the high voltage post(the coil wire connection),should read about 10k ohms, you can go to autozone.com and register and they have a repair guide that should have the test specs.

1990 DODGE D150 WON'T START WHEN HOT

There is a temp. sensor on the exhaust manifold that I just switched out on car that done the same thing it would start when cold but once it was hot and you killed the car it would not start back. When this goes bad its throwing the wrong signal to the computer that it is too hot and allowing it not to crank. This sensor was on the left side of the engine if your facing the car from the front. Also It can be tested with a multimeter to see if it is bad.
