This is a general fault warning. There could be more than one reason for it from a faulty outside temperature sensor to a gearbox issue. Your best option is to try two things. One is to get the vehicle plugged into a Diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to find any error codes. The other is the 'pedal test'. The 'pedal test' often only works on older models but is worth a try. With car OFF and the key IN press down and hold the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time. Turn the ignition key to the car ON and engine OFF position, (two clicks). The codes should begin to flash up on the mileage display on the dashboard. I suggest you use your phone to video the dash as the codes don't stay up for very long so you might need to do the pedal test more than once. Comment below with any codes you get and I'll try and help you translate them.

By "normal lights" I assume you mean "low-beam headlamps"? If this is true, then you may either have burned out headlamp bulbs or a faulty low-beam headlamp relay or relay circuit.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your assistance. Burnt out low beam headlamp bulbs was the problem. They said it was unusual for both to go at the same time, but that's how it was. Your help was greatly appreciated. "
