Did you run it till it stalled if so the fuel system is gummed up and may need parts replaced but the tank and fuel lines need cleaned to remove the sugers
filter will need replacing injectors will need servicing same with pump and hope not damaged as they are not cheap to replace
Pump depending on model $2000 upwards

Take it somewhere else.

The best way to stop your mum is to do your home work when it is given to you and not leave it build up until she gets on your back about it. If you do it straight away what will she have to complain about and you will not get headaches. Really not rocket science is it

It is probably ignition failure. Hard to diagnose with out witnessing it. I wud replace the wires to the spark plugs and the spark plugs themselves. If you take it to a service shop they will probably do that first and charge you more.

Sure you can, you can grab the correct fuel filter at your local Canadian tire, pep boys, part source, automotive warehouse. and do it. It's as simple as disconnecting a big pop can shaped alumni mum bottle and snapping in another. I can provide further detailed instructions if you would like.

Try changing your spark pluges and running lucus fuel injuector cleaner in every fill up.

take vin no and call a dealer or a big junk yard they sould be able to tell you the inner change or the one you need

STP gas treatment with injector cleaner

You can use a water pump wrench (lg. Channel lock) or a lg crescent wrench against the belt tension OR remove the belt and use a strap wrench on the WP pulley while loosening the bolt w/ the wrench. Probably a reverse thread, righty loosey instead of lefty loosey. But don't blow a gasket, it might be regular thread too. Mine was.
