You could remove the bolt and re seal it and see if the leak is still there. Coolant might be getting past the bolt down the threads .

SOURCE: my car is leaking from

That is the timing cover gasket. The coolant goes through the timing cover into the block and there is a gasket between the two, and it is a common problem on the taurus.

SOURCE: Coolant leaking hevily behind power

Check around the front of the intake manifold right behind the alternator on the drivers side. These intakes are known to leak, because of the new coolant and gaskets don't mix.

Why radiator wont hold water

Is your antifreeze leaking on the ground in the front of the motor ? There are many different things to do to find the right answer to this question. 1 : pull the motor dipstick. If oil mixes with the water - antifreeze the dipstick will look milky. If it does not. And looks good. Then 2: with water in the radiator don't put antifreeze in it keeps wasting $$ til leak is found. 3 : start motor look from under the front of the water pump with a flashlight if you have a dripping from a weep hole in the water pump bottom behind the fan. If you can't find a leak shut off the motor. Feel the bottom of the water pump if there is a presence of water you'll need a new one. If not .4:if the motor is over heating or has been blowing antifreeze out of the overflow hose along the side of the radiator. If so the thermostat may be stuck. Much cheaper repair.

Water leak behind alternator leaking on top of motor

This could be your water pump (large hose coming out and routed to bottom of radiator) or it could be a loose thermostat housing, (large hose coming to it from top of radiator) or it could be the hoses themselves.

1996 Dodge Ram 1500 leaking coolant

Probably the water pump. You should see coolant coming from the vent hole on the pump--usually on the bottom.

Water pump

Could be either. Try tightening the clamp on the hose. If still leaking, probably the pump. There is a hole on bottom of pump behind the pump pulley, called a "weep hole". If the pump's internal seal is bad, this hole will leak coolant. Can you get a piece of mirror situated right to view this area? Or if you see white stains on the pump behind the pulley, that could be coolant leak.

Usually if the water pump is leaking it will wet the pulley and fluid will get on the belt. With the engine off can you shove a paper towel under the water pump area and then look for traces of coolant on it?Also,it is common for a water pump to leak then not leak over and over when it is failing.

My 1999 gmc jimmy is leaking coolant, how do I know if it is the radiator or a water pump problem??? is this a difficult repair if it is the radiator????

If the coolant is leaking out of the radiator or out of the bottom of the radiator support then it is the radiator. The water pump is attached to the front of the motor. It's directly behind the fan. If the coolant is leaking down the front of the the engine then it is the water pump. Changing the radiator is a relatively easy repair with basic hand tools. I suggest purchasing a Chilton or Haynes manual for your vehicle. It will do wonders for your confidence having pictures and step by step guidance while you do the repair project.
