No it is not adjustable you need to take it to a qualified transmission repair shop and have it diagnosed

the light should not come on unless there is a problem with the system. also you would notice a problem right away if the was a problem with the brakes because the pedal would be difficult to press down on and you would not feel the pulsation of the brakes under hard braking

It is the prnd indicator switch on the shift shaft of the transmission,or a shift solenoid,or the valves are sticking in the valve body,try some lube guard,added to the transmission,it is great for stuck valves.

check fluid if burnt or brownish change filter if it hasnt been changed may be problem -- no external adjustments on tranny to replace a band-valve body- gear -clutches have to tear down trans
