1995 ford taurus. this car will not stay running it's not the alt, or battery, i checked the fuel pump and fuel pump shutoff swith there all good. i got it running but it just dies and now it wont start but it dose turnover. any answeres? thank yu for your time.

sounds like you changed your fuel pump.
try hooking everything back up and spray some starting fluid in the intake while turning it over. for some reason ford engines have to be fooled back into starting back up. I did a mountaineer and had no power after a fuel pump change, tried starting fluid and voila.
there is also a trianary switch in the cargo area (trunk) make sure this swith has not poped up just push it down if you hear it click it was probably tripped. If it tripped it may need replaced. These switches were used by Ford for many years to stop the fuel pump from running in the event of a crash. Also have you checked the fuse or the relay these are the areas to start before pulling the tank
There is a shutoff switch in the trunk. You can reset it by hand. It is designed to shut off fuel in an accident, but a good jolt on the road will engage it.
