SOURCE: Air conditioner blows hot air after 30 seconds on

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

SOURCE: 2002 GMC Yukon XL -

No they do go but not by changing the battery its just whats known in the trade as the dominio effect ,us mechanics are used to it this is where you change one thing and something else down the line goes wrong and the poor old mechanic gets the blame ,I think its just coincidence that the actuator valve has decided to go at the same time as changing the battery ,Dominio effect no doubt you will change the valve and then you will get two punctures at the same time .

The door chime has no separate fuse, it is controlled by an integrated module called the BCM.

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD Blend door actuator is out of index. Before installing it on the HVAC box it was tested causing it to overtravel. Is there any way to adjust it back to where it should be? I do

remove the actuator . then study the position of the female part of the actuator that actually turns the door shaft. study it enough ,so you know where the actuator really should be when it holds the door shaft in the middle position. then carefully open the actuator itself with the female part facing down. this keeps all the gears in the places they belong. (IMPORTANT) Then without turning any gears or shafts, remove the gear that drives the female part. The gear to remove is about 1 inch in diameter. It has a smaller gear below it that is part of it. Do not remove the female part. with this 1 inch gear removed, the female part can now be turned to the proper position.Again do not remove the female part. Just turn it to the center of its travel space. After putting the gear back in and snapping the assembly together, the actuator can be turned upside down with the female part facing up. Move the door shaft to the center of travel and reinstall the actuator. Hope this helps.

I just changed my hot and cold blend door motor, the dealer Said I need to bring it into them to recalibrate is this true or false how can I do this on my own

Actuator Recalibration
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
Alternate Method (w/o Scan Tool)
Clear all DTCs.
Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Install the HVAC actuator.
Connect all previously disconnected components.
Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.
Install the HVAC/ECAS fuse.
Start the vehicle.
Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
Verify that no DTCs have set as current DTCs.

Why does the air conditioning in my 2003 GMC Yukon blow cold in the front but HOT in the back like the heat is on. It blows good just hot air. I have read that it could be the heater valve not closing...Is...

To check the rear expansion valve, see if the a/c lines are different temperatures. One line to the rear evaporator should be hot and the other cold if it is working.
Try to recailbrate the blend door actuator. Remove the HVAC module fuse. Wait at least 15 seconds. Replace it, turn the key on and wait 40 seconds

04 yukon slt 2wd hvac rear blower motor won;t run. jumped motor its good.

There is a rear control module and a rear data processor for the blower motor and the blend doors.
Your probably going to need a shop manual to have the test procedures for those circuits.
One orange wire goes to the module from a 10amp fuse in the box in the engine compartment, the other orange wire goes to the module from a 30amp fuse in the same box. There is a third orange wire between the front HVAC control panel and the rear module.

New battery install, now cold air willnot blow on passsanger side

The HVAC system may need to go thru a recalibration. Set all HVAC controls and switches to OFF or fully CCW postions, then either disconnect battery or pull fuse #36 in the rear fuse panel. Reconnect battery or reinstall fuse #36, turn ignition key to ON position (don't need to start) and wait about 2 -3 minutes. If this does not solve problem, there is a problem with the passenger side blend door or its actuator.

My air blows good in my vechile but the problem is that the air won't out out of my front vents. when I put the dail on the front vent it blows out on the floor. what can I do to fix my problem. I...

Could be one of two things, HVAC needs to recalibrate itself or one of the blend doors (or its actuator) is stuck. To accomplish the recalibration, set all HVAC controls and switches to their OFF or CCW positions, pull fuses # 36 and 39 in the rear fuse panel, wait about a minute then reinstall fuses. Do not touch any of the HVAC controls for 2 -3 minutes. If this does not resolve the vent issue, you will need to have the HVAC diagnosed by a technician.

2004 GMC Envoy SLT, had to install a new battery. Prior to installation, dual air was working fine, now passenger's 2 vents are blowing hot air while dirver's side is cold. Need help

It is likely that one or more of the blend doors or their actuators are stuck. Before any repair action is done, try allowing the HVAC system to recalibrate itself. To do this, turn all HVAC controls and switches to their OFF or CCW postions, then disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes. Reconnect the battery, but do not touch any of the HVAC controls or switches for about 2 -3 minutes. If this does not cure the problem, the HVAC system will need to be diagnosed. Access to the blend doors and actuators may require some disassembly of the center dash area.

I disconnedted my battery and now air does not blow out of my dash vents. Worked before I did this. 2005 Yukon 5.3 liter v-8 any suggestions

In the under hood fuse block there will be a fuse labeled HVAC. Pull it out for about a minute then put it back in. Turn the key to the run psition, do not start the vehicle. You will hear the HVAC system ging through a self calibration process. After a couple minutes you will no longer hear the actuaries moving. Turn the key off and then start the vehicle. It may take a couple of tries but eventually it should recalibrate and you'll be good to go.
