It should be f8 in the picture. Under the hood, driver side. Probably in air intake duct. F7 in the picture is the maf sensor. I circled f8 and f7. good luck.

I am getting an intake air temp sensor code, on my 1997 Nissan Sentra, and we want to know where the sensor is so we can try to fix it.

var searchHostDomain = 's.fixya.net'; var searchHost; if (searchHostDomain.indexOf("beta") != -1) searchHost = searchHostDomain + '/Handlers/Search'; else searchHost = searchHostDomain + '/HTTPHandlers/SearchAutoComplete';
  • Its on the air duct behind the filter housing,
  • To the left of the strut tower bar their should be a bunch of wires dont pull, but jiggle a few to see if any are loose. if one is then their is your IAT.
  • basically it should be in the air cleaner housing or rubber intake tube from housing to throttle body

My 2001 nissan sentra doesn't have alot of power until after it warms up. it won't even go up a hill. What could be wrong with it?

Possibly the intake air temperature sensor or the engine coolant temp sensor are stuck at full hot. The computer will schedule too little fuel--especially with the engine cold and you'll have very little power until the engine actually gets closer in temp to the stuck sensor. The engine coolant temp sensor sends signals to the computer NOT to your temperature gauge on the instrument panel. That is a different sender. So your coolant temp gauge on the instrument panel may show normal.

I am getting P0128 obd code for my nissan sentra. how to solve this

Take note of the blurb regarding NISSAN products below

A code P0128 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Past experience indicates that the most likely solution is to replace the thermostat. However here are some suggestions on troubleshooting and repairing a P0128 OBD-II code:

    • Verify coolant strength & level
    • Verify proper cooling fan operation (check if it's running more than it should). Replace if necessary.
    • Verify proper engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor operation, replace if necessary.
    • Verify proper intake air temperature (IAT) sensor operation, replace if necessary.
    • If the above items check out good, replace the thermostat
    • If Nissan vehicle, check for Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), as the ECM may need to be reprogrammed to correct the P0128 code

97 Nissan Sentra will start but won't stay started without foot on the pedal what could be the problem

could be the air mass sensor or a fuel delivery problem eg, fuel pump or filter blocked up.

also check for tears in air pipes, or poor seals around the air intake and air box.
