Sounds like your auto locking/alarm system is out of sync with the buttons on your key fob. You will need to reset it so the fob buttons match what they should do. You will need to go to the alarm system manufacturer for directions on how to do that.

SOURCE: Radio, Key auto door lock/opener, interior lights not working.

Most likely is a fuse. There is a fuse box at the end of the right side of the dash. Open front passenger door and there is a cover that says fuses on the end of dash. There is also a fuse box located under the hood at the right front of engine compartment. It should have a cover with a round knob in the middle of it .Unscrew the knob to remove cover.

2010 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited V6 why the key remote want lock the left front driver door?

You may need to replace the power lock actuator motors inside the door . Alternatively, you can try disassembling the paneling on the left side under the steering wheel and removing two black relays on the side closest to the steering wheel. Then remove the relay covers and clean the contacts with a 1/8 fine strip of 600 wet/dry sandpaper.

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. Key fob only works if the ignition switch is in the On position. How to troubleshoot and fix.

The key fob does two things quite separately. It open and closes the doors. It also provides the correct security credentials to the vehicle immobilizer. At first is sounded like whomever programmed it only did half the job. It may also be that the internal battery is low. It is a complex error with the vehicle computer systems on a key fob with unknown history and issues.

Or go into a place that does car alarms and radios. They will have the necessary test equipment and scan tool computers.

2004 also

Take the SUV to an autoparts store that features free charging diagnostic tests. They will determine if the alternator is putting out sufficient power to recharge your battery. There's also a very good chance your battery is dead. It's not uncommon for a battery to need replacing (especially in a truck with all the bells and whistles I'm sure the Santa Fe has) after 4-5 years. It's also important to ensure there's no corrosion around the battery posts/cables (will have a white or green powdery appearance). Corrosion would prevent the battery from accepting a full charge.

I hope this clarifies your problem. It's unlikely the alarm system is the culprit provided it's not "going off" all day long. Best of luck and please feel free to post back with any other questions.

Had to buy keyless entry remote.2007 santa fe limited. What is procedure for programming

I just bought one for mine too! The guy who sold it to me gave me these directions but I haven't tried them yet! Am going to on my lunch hour! Hope they work for us both :)

Forgot to put prog. instructions.in with your fob so here they are.
1.Find the ETACS unit under the steering wheel first, there is a small switch onit.
2.Once the switch is located make sure your key is not in the ignition and set the switch from off to set.
3.Press keyfobs door lock button for one second, this sends the codes to the ETACS and stores it.
4.Do the same thing if you have 2 remotes for the vehile.
5.Now set the ETACS switch from set to off.
6.Remotes should now be programed.

Theft alarm problem

Same problem here but with a Toyota Sienna '99. It took $600 in diagnostic work but the problem was a low voltage electrical short in a switch that was part of the passenger door lock. Specialty shop found it by placing voltage testing equipment on 4 to 6 wires at a time that ran into the cars computer. They recorded any voltage spikes over all these wires 24hrs/day over 3 days to find the bad switch. Snipping the wire to that switch meant the alarm would always go off if the locked car was opened with a key in the passenger door lock but we we're ok with it. Car was about 5yrs. old when this ocurred but we never had another problem of any kind with it for another 4 years. Thanks, Dan
