I have range rover sport model2008 showing yellow amber light some times & change to red color. i stop & turn off the engine, amber light goes away. But after some time it will come again. Suggestion?

Check that the glow plugs are working , the relay is in the e-box(big black box in the right front of engine bay)remove the glow plugs and individually test them.They should glow red after 3 seconds .

The Range Rover actually has 4 oxygen sensors - 2 in front of the Cat and 2 behind the cat - try to check / replace the other 2

Check all electrical conections. If they are good then it is probably the switch itself.

see if you have any oil level or pressure sensors. sometimes these can get gunked up. You may need a new oil pump. I suggest you start using a senthetic oil (valvoline,mobil 1 is reccomended) after u get the problem fixed.
