brake switch bad replace it mine did same thing

Possible short in brake light switch.
Possible bad alternator. Check voltage at battery when running.

Should be 12.7-13.8 V.

check the brake light switch above the brake pedal

Check your emergency brake. Make sure it isn't partially pressed in. Try unplugging the switch to the emergency brake and see if the light goes out; if it does the switch is bad.

Check your ground wire from the battery to the starter...there was a hold down clip theat had rubbed thru the wire coating...left side of the engine. My truck would die...hit the wire and the hood light would come on but wouldn't start even though I knew the battery was charged. Replaced the negative battery cable and all is well, atleast with that issue.LOL

The board where the tail-light bulbs plug in may have melted. Check it out !

Try pulling your brake pedal up and see if that causes the brake lights to turn off. The problem is most likely a bad brake switch that fits up under your dash and is attached to your pedal, it may not be releasing right and causing your lights to stay on. Hope this helps. Check your tail light bulbs, my mom's honda kept having that light, turned out to be a burned out brake ligt.

Look up under dash where brake pedal pivots, you should see a switch that is activated by pedal arm.
