To put it as simple as your question
your A/C system needs to be serviced.

# 1 . The hoses or the connectors that carry the cooling oil are leaking. for example your car may need 25-30 lbs. of pressure to run proper, a leak occurs and that pressure drops to 20 lbs the air is not cold now and you never hear a noise or noticed a smell.

When ac is turned on does not blow cold air - 78521609-b2b5-4df3-b6b7-c21bd9fcbae1-dgd3mqdlwrxhi0ktu44qgfbm-4-0.jpeg
#2. The compressor is the engine for the A/ C system. They can wear out and fail. As well as .

#3, there are a few other pieces that can fail and need to be replaced and of coarse they, usually require taking off the entire dash board where your vents and radio and glove box steering wheel all have to be removed to get to. Hence the reason ac is so expensive to repair

I would advise any teenage girl or single mom that only knows hwo to put gas in their car to go buy something like this A/C recharge kit.
95e5c7ae-abce-4b83-af27-232ba3f2f3bf-dgd3mqdlwrxhi0ktu44qgfbm-4-5.jpeg This will add the missing oil pressure mentioned as #1

the instruction is plain and simple on most brands you can buy a $10 item that can look very similar to the $100 item they are all similar. A/C mechanics hate them all the same these just let you know if you have a leak or not or if the compressor Is good or not

But

once you use the kit as directed your A/C might work great until October, when you stop using it. or it could only work for a few hrs. Depending on the size of the leak or the amount of damage to the compressor.
Start saving now either way. It's going to be $1000.00 for a pro to do it right.
I hope this helps, if you have feedback or related questions post in comments and I can help you navigate through this. With more info from you I could redirect you are give you more specific information.
GoodLuck!!!

First check your filters of the blower, are they clean?
Filters choked with accumulated dust could be a possible cause of the problem.

There could be few reasons for no cold air.
The compressor of the AC is not able to start.
The cooling fan at the compressor is not running.

If the compressor starts and external cooling fan is running then it could be the gas in your AC system needs to be topped up.

For cold air to come out of the blower, compressor must start and there must be sufficient cooling agent in your system.

You may need to call a technician to check your external compressor.

Good luck.

SOURCE: AC not blowing cold air

Most likely the A/C system needs to be recharged with freon.
Most shops charge under $50 for this service.

SOURCE: AC STOPPED BLOWING COLD; ONLY BLOWS ON MAX MANUAL SETTING

Your AC is low on refrigerant; The AC compressor needs a minimum amount of regrigerant to run. If and when it does run (while low on refrigerant) the air coming out of the vents will not be cold. The refrigerant you require is R-134A and is available over the counter but if you are the least bit unsure as to how to add refrigerant, taking it to a garage that does AC recharging would be your best play. If you want to try to add refrigerant on your own you will need the following, 1LB can of R-134A, an AC hose adapter to deliver the refrigerant, and preferably an AC pressure guage to ensure you are not overfilling the AC line which will damage the system.

SOURCE: my ac will not blow cold air.it is fully charged

First open the hood and find the a/c compressor. Once located leave hood open and then start the Jeep. With the air on look under the hood and see if the compressor is turning. Make sure not only the outer pulley is turning but see if the center in the middle of the pulley is spinning to. If it is not then it could be a fuse that runs the clutch for it. Check this out and let me know.

03 grand am ac wont blow cold air

Two things are very likely to be your problem. Freon or compressor. Turn on the ac on cold and see if the compressor is engaging, if it is and stops and goes or if it doesn't. try to check the compression on the low side of your ac, the smallest plug where you service the ac. Or take it to an ac professional to get it refilled or checked. Remember, just because its blowing air, it doesn't mean its working. There are fans inside the car that push the cold air inside your vehicle and most of the time these will work, but that's not the only part required to blow cold air inside your car, the compressor is what makes the air cold.

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 that will blow cold and hot air for only a few minutes. After that is only ambient air temps. It is a 5.7 ltr, automatic with only one set of climate controls. The heater core...

you say it will blow cold and hot air for only a few minutes. You don't say but I assume you mean will blow cold a few min. when turned on AC max , blow hot only a few min. when turned to heater hot. Assuming thats the situation and you say AC charged and shows good on the low side -you should charge the AC to a full charge on the low side will cause problems with the AC air compressor kicking on and off. I suggest while the engine is running and turned to AC cold max watch the AC air compressor clutch to see if it does indeed kick on and off if so charge completely. As far as the heater make certain you coolant is all the way to the top and the best way to do this is when engine is completely cold remove radiator cap and fill completely and completely close cap then fill overflow container just to the cold level. That should fix your problem.
