I have a 2007 Subaru B9 Tribecca. I keep having the traction control light, the cruise light and the engine light come on my dash all at the same time.

When they are lit I can't set the cruise and the engine seems like it wants to stall. And is sluggish shifting gears. I also get the Rear Diff Temp light if these lights are on too long. I have checked the codes I have the code P0457. I can clear the codes and it helps a little and I have purchased a new gas cap and checked fuses. How do I fix this and is it expensive.

You need a better scan tool. I'm willing to be money you've got a 1000 or 2000 series trouble code or a U, B or C code stored. If there's a problem with a wheel speed sensor,, steering angle sensor, yaw sensor or lateral acceleration sensor it will shut off the traction and cruise control and can even affect acceleration. Get it professionally diagnosed because you're not getting the full picture. See this post Trac off light

55 EGR Temperature Sensor or Circuit

ABS light is nothing to do with code 55 separate fault circuits.

Under dash there are two wires with mini spades at the end, connect one of them to the single black multiplug in position 2. Thats RHS plug inlet when you hold plug with tab lock on top.
ABS sensor should then flash up error coded. Ignore code 11 thats a initial flash to let you nknow the difference between a fast and slow flash.

Let me know what code flashes up and I will tell you the symptom,

Dan

SOURCE: Code P0457

was the CEL on and fuel cap light on before you had the fuel pump replaced? if it was after the repairs were performed, double check all evaporative emissions lines, hose, and connection on and around the fuel tank. also make the the fuel filler neck is properly seated and clamped to fuel tank. if all good, check the plastic fuel filler top (just behind fuel door, where you put fueling nozzle) make sure it is not chipped or cracked anywhere. especially where the rubber seal from the cap rides.

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Subaru Forester. Check engine light

Hi

Have the EGR valve checked on the car, also you can remove this yourself and try cleaning it with carb cleaner. they cost about £180 or $280 approx. they do normally trigger these lights.

Hope this helps.
Regards

Dan

p.s have the air mass sensor checked also.

Check engine light on traction control light on cruise light blinking whats wrong?

When you have a check engine light come on, the traction control light and the cruise lights both come on as well. You need to have the codes checked with a scanner. There most likely isn't a problem with the traction control or cruise systems, the lights turn on because those systems work together with the engine management system or PCM. When there is an engine problem that sets a code that turns on the check engine light, it automatically disables the cruise control and traction control for safety reasons. Because the last thing you want is to have an issue with traction control and/or cruise control if your engine is having an issue, which is why they are disabled. The most common problem that turns on the check engine light is a loose, cross-threaded, or snug but not tight enough fuel filler cap. Subaru recommends three clicks of the cap to be considered tight. Also, any parts store can and will check and/or clear codes for free. I hope this info helps!

Why would engine light, cruise control and abs light come on?

hello,do post your DTC'S,(diagnostic trouble codes) and may be i can help.many modern vehicles spring up a multitude of warning icon's on the dashboard, much to the alarm of it's owner, however, often it can be as simple as a dirty wheel speed sensor, which fails to provide the necessary information to the main (ABS/TRACTION control unit) and so then will inhibit the cruise control,as naturally it's unable to ascertain road wheel speed, and also throw up the engine management light,as the braking/traction control systems unable to supply correct information to the main engine computer(ECU,OR PCM) electronic control unit/power control module. hope this helps, but please supply any further information that you can, regarding your DTC'S, that are read out,try to get a full print off,if at all possible, cheers.

All of my warning lights and cruise control lights keep flashing randomly

not all faults show up as the same fault. Life would be easy if that was the case . However when there are a lot of faults exhibited and there is a loss of engine power The first thing that I check is the battery ,terminals for tension and clean and the drive belt for condition and tension. Lastly if the battery is failing many of the complaints will show up. I would suggest a load test done on the battery . If you got if from a car yard with that amount of miles on it I would question the strength and age of the battery . These suggestions may not fix the faults but at least you will have eliminated the major cause cheaply.

CEL, flashing cruise control and vehicle dynamics controll OFF lights on Subaru Tribeca

It is safe to drive your car. What happened was you have a Check engine light on indicating a problem with the emission diagnostic system. This also makes your cruise not work, and the light to blink. Take your car to your dealer at your convienence and have them diagnose it.
