Possibly broken wires or burned fuse. Check wiring above accelerator pedal. Check engine control fuses. Also check wiring near injector pump and throttle--top of engine.

SOURCE: honda civic 2003 transmission

Its possible that your transmissions Shift Solonoids could be acting erratically, either because they themselves are faulty, or the transmission's ECU is faulty, or maybe even the wiring between the two is somewhat faulty.

However it is also possible that your transmission's Speed Governor is holding too much pressure and doesn't realize it needs to downshift when you start slowing down.

Thirdly it is also possible that your Torque-Converter lockup may be siezed, or the wiring feeding it may be faulty.

Transmission repairs are usually somewhat pricey, and difficult to pinpoint, and fix, and I'm sorry to say that most of these causes to your problem really can't be checked without pulling the transmission out of the car, and disassembling it to see what the problem is.

It is your computer. I had this recently as well. No Bus means no connection to the on board computer. There is a company in Florida that repairs these computers, so don't get suckered in by the dealership for 750-1000.

SOURCE: Changed oil in transmission and filters now won't go into gear

I Fixed it !!! What happened was that the "O" ring that came with the filter wasn't fully seated in the pump before i put the filter on. It was kind of hard to get it to seat properly I had to get a hammer and a socket w/ an extention and tap it in. It wont go in with finger pressure alone. To find out if this is what the proble is then take off the pan and remove the filter, if the "O" ring is attached to the filter when u remove it then this is the problem.

SOURCE: transmission codes:

I WOULD TRY REPLACING THE INPUT SPEED SENSOR..A DEFECTIVE SPEED SENSOR CAN CAUSE ALL OF THESE FAULTS..IT IS LOCATED IN FRONT OF TRANS ABOVE SOLENOID PACK..IT IS THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE ENGINE..IT SCREWS INTO TO TRANSMISSION..A 1 INCH SOCKET FITS IT..ALSO CHECK WIRING TO BOTH SPEED SENSORS..A SENSOR IS ABOUT 35 BUCKS,AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL DODGE DEALER..GET A NEW ONE AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE..FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM..HAVE REPLACED LOTS OF THEM

Viechel will not communicate with a scanner, odometer displays no bus, gear indicater cycles trough the gears from park to first repeatedly, no gages work, wont start?

This is not fun to find. What has happened is a computer has shorted out, sending voltage threw the data lines. ( just a note, this could be wiring also. most times it is a computer) To find it, you have to disconnect one computer at a time , then see if you can read the other ones. I just did a Nissan pathfinder with a bad TCM. Inside the transmission.

Gear light in Drive started to blink while was driving

This light is warning you that a fault has been detected in the electronically controlled transmission by the Transmission control module. You must get the system scanned for the fault code that was set in the modules memory when the light was turned on.
