2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE dash back lights quit working I installed an aftermarket radio. Wiring OK no blown fuses.Every thing else works fine plugged factory radio back in lights still did not work.

check that dimmer is turned up ---and check connections around where radio work was done for damaged disconnected line connector also check dash fuses not just fuses from radio --or your radio may not be compatible to your dimmer circuit -most oem radios display are Incorporated with dash functions and after market ones are not

I would check the Maxi-Fuses, you may have blown the main fuse.

Try checking your fuses, you may have a blown one. If the problem reoccurs, or it isn't the fuse, then you more than likely have a short somewhere, where you will need to spend up to several hours with a test light.
Good Luck!
