This wouldn't make the tranny slip. It is making abs kick on when it shouldn't. there is a faulty in the system, most likely abs system causing this. It should be broughten to dealer honestly and I am a mechanic tell you this. It may be bad pump or circuit. I would pull the abs fuse that is in the fuse center under hood most likely. This will prevent abs from locking up on your or quit working on you. Until you get it repaired

I have already put a new tranny in my 2002

Are you using aftermarket additives like ptfe products? Some of those products come with a warning that it may cause gears to slip. How many miles are on your truck between transmissions? Since this isn't a common problem with Chevrolet, and this is the second time, it is hard to pinpoint. Have a transmission shop do a diagnostic.

86 nissan 4x4 d21 hardbody

This may depend on which side of the support bearing the slip joint is on the tail shaft. If it is on the diff side of the bearing then the problem will be that the slip joint has seized and every time the diff rises or falls from load or bumps in the road instead of slipping it pushes the whole shaft forward or pulls back to allow for the changed length of the distance from diff pinion and rear of gear box. If the slip joint is in the rear of the gear box then you may have to alter the angle that the mount has to the drive shaft. On a Mazda I had I found that the mounting plate was square to the chassis but the bearing needed to be about 3 degrees off to compensate for the drive shaft angle. This meant that the ball bearing was under mis-aligned load from the hard rubber and caused premature wear of the bearing

How to get my ignition lock out

Instructions

Test fit a drill bit in the lock cylinder. You want a bit that is just smaller than the cylinder. You will be using hardened drill bits to cut through the cylinder, since ordinary bits may be damaged by drilling metal.

Lock the drill bit into the drill chuck and tighten the chuck.

production in very fast delivery! special threading taps, plug gauge

Drill a starter groove into the lock cylinder. Start the drill on a low speed and create a groove in the end of the lock cylinder. You don't need to create a deep hole, just enough of a groove so that the drill bit will not slip on a higher speed.

Increase the drill speed to the highest setting and drill out the lock cylinder. Let the drill do the work. If you force the drill into the lock cylinder, you could burn out the rotor inside the drill motor

Acts like transmission is slipping but when you turn engine off then turn it on it works for maybe 500 yards

All slipping transmissions do that. The turbine gave up the ghost, and if not repaired soon, the additional strain on the transmission may cause it to fail too. Seemingly turning off the engine allows the trans fluid to cool off a bit, and there is also additional pressure when you restart the engine, giving the transmission the possibilty to work decently for a few yards, but as soon as the fluid overheats again, it starts slipping.

1990 Space Cab: I get a shrieking too-tight fan belt squeal on start up and if while driving I press the accelerator hard. Any ideas? chuck Watkins

Fan belt does not squeel because it is too tight. It is caused by slipping. It is either too loose or worn out or both.

Slipping in 1st gear and around sharp left turns

If you have never had the spark plugs changed it is time to do so. Since you have drilled a hole in the cat you will need to replace it when your state inspection comes around becouse it wont pass. Some fuel injection cleaner will help with the sputtering. You should treat it with injection cleaner once a month since the plugs have been allowed to fowel and caused carbon build up in the cylinders.

I am planning to buy a nissan maxima.but the seller said the ABS.TCS and slip lights are on which is making the tranny to slip a bit. is this true. 1. why would the tranny slip? 2. why also are those...

can be an expensive problem the abs and tcs module under the hood is probably going bad the tranny slipping is probably what is causing the othe lights to come on. the tcs stands for traction control system if it feels a slip in the tranny like on a gravel road or wet road it assists the vehicle into getting better traction.

2002 silverado 2500HD rear brake question????

You'll need a T-55 torx bit to remove the rear caliper pins/bolts. You can try using an insert style bit...one that removes from the socket or perhaps purchase a replacement bit (one that would be used in a cordless drill/driver.) The one I used had a 5/16" hex shank. Like you said, there is very little clearance between the head and the leaf springs, which won't allow room for a breaker bar and torx bit. So using a 5/16" wrench, ( I'd recommend a 6 point box wrench to prevent slipping or rounding off.) I was able to loosen the bolt. Or plan B is to remove the caliper mounting bracket which is held on by two 21 or 22 mm hex head bolts. Which would have to be removed to remove the brake rotor.
