1992 toyota celica key wont turn and alarm system going off

The steering lock may be binding the ignition lock cyl preventing the key from turning or the key may be worn out. Try turning the steering wheel back and forth while wiggling and turning the ignition key. To get the alarm to turn off without starting the car try locking and unlocking the vehicle from the passenger side door. There is a micro switch on the drivers side door lock cyl that may be bad and preventing the alarm from dis arming. This is all providing it is a toyota factory alarm sys.

Changed my car battery on my 99 Avenger and the horn goes off and car won't start.

It sounds like you have an alarm system that is disabling the ignition. You need to reset the alarm system.

The fuse to the power door lock/unlock motors has blown. In order to get into the car and start it,
can't you just unlock the door with the key - then start it with the same key?
In the worst case, disconnecting the battery will disable the car alarm, so it can be towed without
the alarm blaring.

Sorry about your celica, I do realize these cars are **** but none the less they are fixable. Disconnect the battery and wait 30 sec. Reconnect then turn the ignition to the on position allow the alarm 2 hrs to reconfigure itself and then start the engine. Sequence is now complete.

1993 celica alarm goes off all the time

Well what I would start with try setting the valet switch...Every alarm has one the trick is finding it... I would look by the fuse box for a little toggle switch, this is where it most likely will be ... you can activate the valet by flipping the switch and turnining the key.... If you have an L.E.D. that blinks when alarm is armed this light should stay solid...Activating this switch will override the alarm so removal will not be necessary... Good Luck
