Check the fuel pressure regulator I hunch it's leaking, Do this, remove the vacuum line from the regulator if there's gas in the line replace the regulator if it looks good leave the line off and start the engine for a minute or Two if you see any gas coming out again replace the regulator. IS IT POSSIBLE YOU GOT A WIRE CROSSED? or a plug is cracked and or gap closed up? i would check these. you have the 5.3? what kind of plugs are you running?

It takes just one of the coil on Plug units to cause sputtering and severe shaking. Fortunately the prices have dropped slightly for the coil units. The bad news is it is still close to 100 bucks from the Ford dealers. I have had to replace 3 of these on my 1999 F250 superduty V-10 since I bought it new. I believe there may be some compatible aftermarket units out there for high performance V-8 engines, but can not confirm compatibility.

THE PROBLEM WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE YOUR IN LINE FUEL FILTER .NOT TO HARD TO REPLACE NOT TO EXPENCIVE EITHER.
