It has never did that in 44 years that I have owned it. What could cause this??
I'm sure you did a fine rebuild Brother, and I doubt much you set the oil breather timing a tooth out, but it's worth checking. About the only thing left to do to help get more air out and plenty of oil is, is to enlarge the size of the oil timing hole the full size of the timing screen. But that needs done before assembly. I know these early shovels well and even have a "69 108 cid I built a lot of years back. I've never had any problem getting the pressure out that cause by the pistons going down.
SOURCE: Oil leaks onto the manifold pipe
I had the same problem check the oil sensor switch located above the manifold it is electronic with to wires I leaks when bad
SOURCE: I own a 1997 Camaro SS. Standard Transmission. I
look at the valve covers, the valve cover gaskets have most likely hardened over the years and are not sealing now
SOURCE: 2007 impala 80k drips oil
Most 2007 chevys came with a 100k powertrain warranty. If yours has it take it to a dealer.
SOURCE: Oil in exhaust pipe, dripping from the mesh
double check that the oil filter is tight. it is located right above that flex pipe/ mesh.
