SOURCE: Remove and Install Headlight Switch in 1994 Lincoln Town Car

Disconnect the battery ground first
1. remove the trim strip from the left and right of the steering assembly
2. take the 12 screws that hold the dash panel
3. take a right angle tool and remove the headlight switch knob by inserting in slot at the back of the knob and pulling toward you and pulling the knob off , this will let you pull back the dash panel and expose the switch. Un- fasten the headlight switch bracket and un fasten the connector and inspect . Replace the switch if necessary , especially if it is burned. GOOD Luck

if this lever is part of the turn signal switch it might be faulty , also the auto dimming might be picking up glare from the bumper check the sensor and make sure it is clean.

Dash lights and ac stoped working after installing anew stereo. is it just a fuse or relay

this sounds like a fuse problem, you will have to check the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.also check the headlight switch to make sure the dash dimmer switch wasn`t accidentally turned off.

You will need to lift up the hood. On the back side of the light there should be a cannon plug that you will need to twist. Just twist that and replace.
