You’re not accidentally hitting the cruise control by any chance?
If not then definitely get the car checked over by a professional mechanic ASAP

There can be a variety of causes from driver error to electrical or mechanical problems.

The throttle plate might be sticking and not returning to its correct position. Sometimes it simply that the floor mats are interfering with the petal. Or, A vacuum leak, sensor that has failed, or an EGR system malfunction could potentially be the cause. Or, it could be a software problem in the car.

Your best chance of finding out if this is a problem common to your model of car is add that model to a google search of your question. At the end of the day, you are going to have to eliminate several potential causes and most of that sort of elimination requires tests by a mechanic.

Loud noise when I accelerate

Sounds are kind of hard to describe. Bad exhaust noise can be noticed more when the exhaust is rushed in acceleration. Valve rattle can be created on acceleration as well as "spark knock".

Sometimes an air induction leak can roar when the car is speeded up. Sometimes an air filter is not fully sealed in its' duct and will make noise when drawing in air.

I have a Jetta TDI 1993 Model and I have a problem, while driving the I get no response from the accelerator pedal, the car seems to idle but there is no accelerating power. If turn the engine off and on...

Go back to that VW dealer and complain. I'm sure you payed plenty, and I know in my shop, if a customer's car is not repaired to their satisfaction, I want to know, and make it right. Sometimes parts can be bad right out of the box, and sometimes problems are misdiagnosed. Go back, but don't agree to pay for anything untill you get a satisfactory explanation. Good luck.

My son has 1987 Toyota Celica ST with a 3S-FE engine. It sometimes has acceleration issues. For lack of a better word, it jerks while accelerating. But it only does this at times. Other times it works...

Same problem happened to my 1993 Nissan 240SX SE Hatchback. Turned out to be the flywheel for some odd reason. Try that! Also in my opinion it could be bad spark plugs or a clogged fuel filter. Usually those would be the main reasons.
