SOURCE: car won't run when hot

It could be neither, If your engine is getting too hot, it can be in the cooling system, like the water pump, radiator, belt and the like, or engine timing may be off, and so forth. You even may have low coolant or a head gasket problem or cracked head, depending on the diagnostics. Just changing the spark plugs by themselves will not make the engine run hot, and while you can have ign module, etc failure when the engine is at normal operating temperatures, they by themselves should not make the engine run hot. Hope this helps you, Rick

SOURCE: 2008 Buick Lucerne cannot get out of park

You are reffering to manually taking a screwdriver to release the shifter i take it....if so, you are probably not getting in far enough to hit the release.

2008 Buick Lucerne crank but no start

Check fuses that says ECU or EFI. Crankshaft sensor fault would give out error codes. However, the wire connector to the sensor maybe degraded and loose. Back probe the fuel injector connectors. Look for +12v when ignition on. Same case as the coil pack or ignition amp.

Left my 2009 Lucerne sit for 10 days while on vacation. Came back and had to jump it. Am told that is normal?

I ever take vacation for 3 weeks with car stays in garage. I don't need a jump start to use the car.
Your battery is start to deteriorated ( unless otherwise there is problem with your car wiring).
