SOURCE: Low Coolant light flashing on 1996 Buick Regal 3.8

The low coolant sensor should be located in the passenger side radiator tank, You need to take it out and clean the sludge off of it for it to work right. Or you can just unplug it and forget about it, the light will go out and it won't cause any problems.

SOURCE: Buick error code 0141

What does that mean? This code means that the heated circuit in the oxygen sensor on bank 1 decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0141. See also: P0135 (Bank 1, Sensor 1).
FB.init("dd7d9e9681341cde77587bc6a2029f6f"); OBD-Codes.com on Facebook SymptomsYou will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the Check Engine Light. Causes A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • O2 heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.
Possible Solutions
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors

Does a 2002 buick regal have a ignition position sensor

Hello trhino69.

The Regal has two position sensors.
One on the crankshaft and another on the camshaft.
If the crankshaft sensor isn't reading it will not start.
On the other hand if the camshaft sensor isn't reading it will start but the fuel injectors will revert to non-sequential firing.
The crankshaft sensor is mounted at the crankshaft harmonic balancer.
It is #4 in the diagram below.

My 1998 Buick Regal GS will not start. The battery is only one year old and the starter is turning. The wiring for the spark plugs was replaced 2 years ago. Is this a fuel pump problem? If so I would like...

If the motor is turning over, then the battery is good. You are either not getting spark or fuel.
If not spark, the crankshaft position sensor is usually faulty.
If no fuel, either fuel pump or fuel pump relay is bad, or clogged fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator is faulty. You have a fuel rail that has your injectors attached to it. It should have a test port on it that looks like a tire valve. You can put a rag on top of it,, press it in and there should be lots of fuel pressure, If not, either filter is clogged or pump is not running either due to bad fuse or relay or pump is bad.
For spark, there is a crankshaft position sensor that screws in engine block next to the crank. Then from here the wires go to ignition module and coil packs, then to plugs and wires. You can test any relay or sensor with an ohmmeter in the ohm position. You can test any power in an electrical unit with a voltmeter
