Leak on my kia serento 2011 - Kia Cars & Trucks

How do you know the canister is bad?? There should be no issue with it being a 2011 unless you ran over something and damaged it. There are many things other than the canister that will cause evap leaks/codes. What code led you to the canister replacement idea?

These codes have to do with the CVVT(continuously variable valve timing)solenoid. I guess it is a 2.4 liter engine, the solenoid is located right above the power steering pump at the #1 cylinder in the cylinder head. If it is the 3.5 liter it is located on top of each cylinder and is accessed after the intake plenum is removed. Either way, the solenoid controls valve timing of the exhaust cam via the solenoid which uses oil pressure to advance or retard the timing. The first step is to verify proper weight of oil and level. If the engine is over due for service, get it done. If the oil is not an issue, then the solenoid is becoming sluggish in advancing or retarding the camshaft and should be replaced.

Could be a problem with the wiring harness, or a major leak in the air intake system, or a blockage.
The low voltage would happen if the sensor is not detecting air flow thru it from the air filter to the intake.

How much power are you losing?? An A/C compressor when on will take away some power and fuel mileage.

yes . try cleaning it with carb cleaner that helps some times if there full of carbon.

Take it back if you suspect they did more than just belts, Did they AND you not road test it before paying and leaving???

the owners manual has a fuse box fuse destination diaghram.

have you looked under steering wheel dash, also look in the glove box, and under the hood
