I am not familiar with your model of car but I have encountered a few cars with a similar problem where the connection supplying power to the vehicle was made directly to the alternator and the cable supplying power to charge the battery was a second wire connecting the alternator to the hot terminal of the starter solenoid.
In all cases the cable connecting the alternator to the "battery" had broken which had resulted in the alternator producing a huge power surge straight into the vehicle electrics powerful enough to overload every piece of electronic equipment - management computers, alternator, radio, etc.
I doubt your car will ever start again until considerable investigation work has been carried out involving much expense and many replacements.
You might be lucky and find your disaster is less serious but you will need some experienced help...

it sounds like the problem but the question is why wont the pcm start the car. with the key turned to on the service engine light sould be on. if not the pcm has no power.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your assessment. The service engine soon light does appear when the ignition switch is turned on, but goes out when I jump start it. "

it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked.
good luck
