i've also ran into this problem. the only way to get the code is by going to the dealers. they'll take out the stereo and get the numbers off the back and get the code from the manufactor. they might not tell you that but thats what they'll do. i don't know what they will charge you. i just bought another stereo and put it in myself. sorry, i know it's not the answer you were looking for.
