Sounds like your car is burning oil. Use a high mileage oil or add an oil additive that reduces oil burning. You could also use a hotter plug.

check the ignition coil power source...get a test light & check for power with the key on @ the positive side of the coil...if it does have power have a friend crank the engine over & check the negative side for a flashing light..if it does then make sure you have spark @ the coil if not replace the coil

The engine is not running smooth what can cause this

As far as I know, there are no Mazda "Familia's", in the US at least. But, a vacuum leak is always a big problem no matter what vehicle it is. If your Service Engine Lamp is on, it needs to be scanned for codes. All the newer vehicles run and adjust off of information the computer receives from the sensors. The computer will adjust all kinds of stuff like the idle, air/fuel mixture and even timing advance from the info from sensors. If a sensor if giving bad info, the vehicle will run bad. You can tell if you have a spark problem by smelling your motor oil for fuel.

1997 mazda familia motor missers alot,,whats wrong with it?

It needs a Tune Up!
New Plugs, HV Cables, Vacuum Hose leaks etc.
Someone needs to look at it to determine whats wrong.
Some things just can't be fixed on-line!

My mazda 323 familia 1997 when you try to accelerate after change change gear it hesitates, seems like bucking on acceleration. Sometimes the idle also not stable. Looks like short of fuel or spark plugs...

My mazda 1997 familia's rpm keeps on fluctuating when im in neutral mode, it sometimes reach up to 2k rpm. its an automatic transmission. i try changing the spark plug, the throttle, but it doesnt work....

Some times this problem comes from lack of coolant wather. or a watherpump faliur.

check pump drive belt.
refil coolant, remember to refil radiator too.
check under car when running for leek, dripping.
check oil cap inside after running, if inside of cab is foam like, it is possible a burnt topgasket.
if none of the above, replace temp censor and thermostat.
