Reset the headers and push rods and i'm getting way to much space between the rod i'm not sure what the issue is. when i dissasembled the parts thery all fit and head

Its because your pistons on 1&4 are up top that is why your bent valves got bent you are doing exactly the same thing so turn the crank back 15degrees position your cam and reset your crank,it seems to me you may be out of your depth lets hope not or it may be expensive

It's possible it could be bad...However double check your battery, and your battery cables, and make sure you have enough voltage at the battery..should be atleast 12.6..give a take a few, but no less than 9.6..and if your terminals are not tight, that will cause that to happen also...Goodluck....

This is not normal for this engine. The only oil problem that does happen with these is when the oil pick-up screen becomes clogged. The oil pan will need to come off to clean it. The only knocking problem with these 3800's is the harmonic balancer that may need to be replaced. It will make more noise with the ac on.

Tightening sequence would be to tighten from the center most bolts to the outer most bolts.
Intake Upper Bolts = 18 lb.ft.
Intake Lower Bolts = 10 lb.ft.
Exhaust Manifold Nut = 12 lb.ft
Exhaust Manifold pipe = 22 lb.ft.
Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield = 18 lb.in.
Rocker Arm Torque Nuts = 18 lb.ft.
