That depends on how many miles it has and if it is any good.

Depending on where you live can vary in price, but $700 would be a starting price. The labor involved with that is the problem.

350 chev engine number 10054727. What year and horse power? Thank you

That is a '89 & up model, I believe it is a 2-bolt. HP is not determined by this number It could be from about 165 to 295. You can pump it up, but don't go too far if it is a 2-bolt.

I have a chevy 350 4 bolt main with suffix code ce4329 can anyone tell. Me what year, and horespower this engine came with.

I went google and typed in-- 350 chev engine suffix number ce 4329 and found a page chev-camero.com>chevy-camaro
listed is a ceu--1980--350--190 hp
these 4 bolt main blocks were sold here as bedford truck engines ( 5 ton trucks) as they had a slightly longer stroke which gave a better torque rating for heavy loads
They were popular as street engines, because they gave better power bands that could only be got by regrinding the crank to gain more cubic inches( longer stroke ) a 350 engine and adding special head gaskets for the piston protrusion above the block
Along with good cams , the 4 bolt main negated the need for expensive main modification to handle the extra power
anyway go to that site and navigate around and you may find the information you want

What year is this engine? and ci

From this chart - I think you may be misreading the number - 3970010 is possibly the actual number: Which makes the engine pretty old 68-72 350 V8 - 4 bolt main. I included past this number so that you can see that the number you posted doesn't actually exist. And thus my conclusion that the 9 is most likely a 0. Hope this helps. 3970010 350 69 Corvette late 69,4 bolt main 3970010 302 69 Camaro Z/28,Late 69, 4 bolt main 3970010 350 69-79 Truck 2&4 bolt main 3970010 350 69-79 Pass,Chevelle,Camaro,Nova,MonteCarlo 2&4 bolt main 3970010 350 70 Corvette 300,350,370 HP 4 bolt main 3970010 350 71 Corvette 270,330 HP 4 bolt main 3970010 350 72 Corvette 200,255 HP 4 bolt main 3970014 350 69-77 Pass,Chevelle,Camaro, Nova,MonteCarlo 2 or 4 bolt main 3970014 350 69-79 Truck 2 or 4 bolt main 3970014 350 72 Corvette late &undefined;72,200 HP,255HP 4 bolt main 3970020 307 68-73 Pass,Chevelle,Camro, Nova 3970020 307 69-73 Truck 3970024 307 69-73 Pass,Chevelle,Camro, Nova,Truck 3992386 327 68-69 Pass,Chevelle,Camro, Nova,Truck Large Jounal

83 elcamino keeps blowing starters 6 so far in 8 months solenoid stops engaging

I will try to help. Several things about some starters, I remember there were some which had shims needed for the (starter to block) mounting bolts. Seems like a certain clearance was needed for proper mesh of starter gear to ring gear.

If ring gear was replaced, was there a difference in the number of teeth on the ring gear? Your starter drive needs to match if there was a difference. Either way you need compatibile spacing.

Overadvanced motor. Fighting compression will strain the starter. Now there were some heavy duty starters for big Cadillac motor. But these starters would also mount on a Buick 350. If you have higher compression these heavy duty starters would be a good choice.

Just wondering What my engine is out of. i bought it as a 350 Chev but not sure exactly if its a 350 or not. engine number KO314CMJ casting number 3970010

Hey spoofy, that is a good block casting...Chevy used that from 1969-1979. The Vette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, Monte Carlo and Trucks all had this engine. If it's a 4 bolt main, the chances it came out of a Vette are very good. The engine number you give does not cross reference.
I hope this helps.

I'm trying to get info on a 350 engine that I recently bought.I have figured out that it's manufacture date was 7/13/76.The code on the front passenger pad of block reads 16?79165.I can't read whats...

If you take a white crayon and go over them numbers you should be able to read what the missing number is, unless the block has been miled down, as far as knowing what the engine is, if you get all the numbers you can go on line to G.M. and you can find out what it is, I have done it a lot on classic cars that i have purchased or thought about purchasing. Also you can use the block numbers on the back of the block on the left side thru G.M.s web site and also find out. I also know that 4-bolt maine blocks came in 3/4 ton and larger trucks and some camaros.
