You mean axle seal.
Watch this video on how to do it.

SOURCE: 360 ci Dodge Rear Main Bearing Seal Replacement

Yes ,regardless of which seal is used as you have to loosen main bearings so the crank can be moved down as the seals are crush type and you wont have the clearance to fit the new one,Split seals (2 piece)are the easiest to fit without moving the crank too much. The one piece seal also means trans removal. As far as removing trans completely you may be able to move it back while its being held up by a trolley jack and only pull it back far enough to give you the clearance needed.Autos are far easier than manuals. If its the rope type seal a special tool is used to fit them and its not a tool that is sold just anywhere as that type of seal kept noahs ark from sinking and havnt been used in engines for many many years.

SOURCE: 2004 dodge ram 1500 rear brake light out how to replace?

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.

SOURCE: Rear drive shaft seal leaking

Yes, but you will need to mark the yoke position and exact number of turns to remove the nut or you will change ring and pinion gear lash setting when re-installing it. You can use a large pipe wrench to hold the yoke still while tightening, or get a special tool made for that.

Can you just replace a wheel bearing on a 04 Dodge Ram 1500 2wheel drive , or is it best too replace with the hub

I’m assuming that you are taking about the front wheel, then yes, you need to replace the entire hub. The bearing does not come apart.

Mine 1995 dodge 1500 won't go in 2wheel drive it's stuck in 4low

Try backing up then select 2wd.
Sometimes on a hard surface the drivetrain can get tight and bind up tight and not allow gears to become un-meshed.

Cost of replacing automatic rear transmission seal 1991 dodge dakota

If it is a 2 wheel drive, should be pretty cheap. The drive shaft comes out, the seal comes out, and the install is reverse.
You can check the cost of the part online for your area and whatever the labor rate is for your area, I would say 1 - 2 hrs.

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 ext cab 2wheel drive. The headlights work on Low, but when I switch them to High I have no headlights. All other lights work fine and the bulbs appear to be fine.

It would be either the headlight switch or the headlight relay. Try the relay first, it is easier to replace and less costly than the switch.

1992 GMC 1500 2wheel drive automatic transmission no reverse or 2nd gears

Sounds like a rebuild is in order for the transmission.

But, first check for fluid level and condition of automatic transmission fluid (is it red or brown?).

I sold my 97 2wheel drive 5.9 gas and thats the best i did withit was 13mpg and that was with the 285/75s on it you have to remember that the tires that big actually travel more distance than what your odometer is going to read. But right around 10 is average for the 4wheel drives
