1. Make sure the vehicle is in Park. 2. Make sure there is not tension on the steering wheel. 3. If those two things are not the issue, you likely have debris stuck in the cylinder. You can try a squirt of WD40 to loosen it up. Otherwise you will need to disassemble the column and remove/replace/repair the lock cylinder.

SAfter shutting off the truck, radio and fan continue to run. Also, went out the other morning and found radio running without keys in the ignition. I tried replacing the relay switch in the fuse box. ...

Check and make sure the ignition switch is not worn out and allowing you to remove the key when the switch is turned backwards in teh accessory position. once the key is removed and the radio is staying on, turn the ignition without the key in it, both directions and see if it shuts off, if it does, menas work cylinder or key.

Ford f150 the windows, radio & wipers don't work when the motor is runing then i turn it off & place the key in the back position of the switch they work

Might want to remove the tumbler, and check it for obstructions, or dirt in the grease.

One quick test for this would be :

Start the truck as normal. Check the radio, if it is off, slightly turn the key backwards towards the off position, only moving the key 1 or 2 mm. It could be the key is not returning from the start position correctly.

To check the tumbler :
Look on the bottom of the steering wheel cover. There should be 4 holes, but only 3 screws. The empty hole should be by the ignition switch.

1 Insert the ignition key and turn to the RUN position.

2 Insert a punch in the access hole of the steering column and press the release tab while pulling out the ignition switch lock cylinder.

Once you have it out, you should be able to look inside the tumbler path, to see if there are any obstructions, or grease & dirt build up.
This is also the same way to remove the key in ignition warning chime. It should be a tab on the end of the tumbler ( mine was broken, left in the tumbler path )
Pry the clip down, and push the tab off the rear of the ignition switch lock.

Putting it back is a case of pushing the same punch in the hole, insert the switch lock cylinder back in, release the punch, and cycle the key to the off position.

How do I change ignition switch on a 1994 ford f150

Using the correct ignition key, put the key in the ignition switch and turn to the accessory or on position. look under the switch on the underside of the column and you will see a small hole. Use a small poke tool like an awe or a big stout paperclip and push the pin. you will feel it move when you poke it. pull the ignition switch out with key still in it. The switch has to be turned in order to get it out smoothly without damage. Please leave feedback to let other know if this helps your situation. I know this will as I replace ford switches daily. Thanks

well if you could pull off the plastic shrouds off from around the steering wheel you could take out the ignition switch. with the shrouds removed looking at where the ignition switch is there will a hole somewhere on the bottom which you could stick a drill bit in there and turn the key to the run position one click forward and then pull out entire igniton switch but if nothing turns then unfortunately it will have to be drilled out

Ignition key switch

You have to use a pin or paper lip to insert in hole in igmition switch to release the lock cylinder. The key has to be in "on" position I think.

Removal
  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301) .
  1. Turn lock cylinder key to RUN position.
  1. Place a 3.17mm (1/8-inch) diameter wire pin or small drift punch in hole in upper steering column shroud (3530) under ignition switch . Press retaining pin while pulling out on ignition switch to remove it from lock cylinder housing (22074) .
Installation
  1. Install ignition switch by turning it to RUN position and pressing retaining pin. Insert ignition switch into lock cylinder housing . Ensure ignition switch is fully seated and aligned in interlocking washer before turning key to OFF position. This will permit cylinder retaining pin to extend into lock cylinder housing hole.
  1. Rotate ignition switch, using lock cylinder key, to ensure correct mechanical operation in all positions.
  1. Connect battery ground cable.

How to get key out that is stuck in ignition

Remove steering column shroud(cover)and tap ignition barrel with small hammer while twisting key backwards and forwards, also turn steering wheel backwards and forwards sometimes this is enough to release key as the locking pins in barrel and the steering lock pin do sometimes jam.You will have to remove steering column shroud to replace ignition barrel if tapping/hitting it doesnt work anyway so its not a wasted effort.Good luck, let me know how it works out
