SOURCE: Ford Focus seatbelt locked

There is a gas cylinder that tightens the belt in a minor collision, it is a one time use part it is independent of the air bag deployment system, you will have to replace the seat belt gas cylinder, that may mean a new belt assembly, not sure on focus.

SOURCE: airbag light stays lite

Unfortunately, the only way to reset the lamp is to clear the trouble code with a scan tool. For issues like low battery voltage, the lamp will go out on its own after a predetermined number of key cycles without detecting the problem. You could try driving it for a couple days to see if the lamp goes out before taking it back to the dealer. But be advised that the air bag system may not function properly while the lamp is on.

Hello guys after a diagnosis of my mazda cx 3 2016 i have the following results DRIVER FRONTAL STAGE 1 AND 2 DEPLYMENT CONTROL OPEN CIRCUIT. AND SECOND ROW DRIVER SIDE SEATBELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT...

Has this vehicle been in an accident? Have you taken the steering wheel off?
If No, you'll need to get this sorted as soon as possible!! These refer to the Safety Electronics on your vehicle that control the steering wheel airbag and the seatbelt system.
The one referring to the 'Driver Frontal Stage' is the steering wheel airbag trigger, (makes it go off in an accident!), and the 'Seatbelt Pretensioner' pulls the block you plug the belt into back during an impact to tighten the belt against you.

We had two separate accidents involving a deer the airbags never deploy in neither collision. How do i disconnect them?

They didn't deploy cause you hit a deer, the airbags sensors need to get a gforce reading to deploy, hitting a deer ksnt enough to do it

Airbag light reset sx4

There is a manufacturer's recall on this if it's caused by a failure in the front passenger weight detection system.

The system has a minimum weight required in the front passenger seat for the airbag to deploy in an accident (if no one is in the front passenger seat during an accident, the airbag does NOT deploy). If the system fails and the car cannot determine if someone is in the front passenger seat, the light illuminates and in an accident the passenger airbag WILL deploy, even if there's no one in that seat.

The purpose of the system is to prevent airbag deployment for a lightweight child in the front seat. The fix is to replace the seat weight sensor mat...free if it's the recall item.

Do the airbags and seatbealt deploy in a accident if you dont apply brakes?

Yes, absolutely if the ignition key is turned in "ON" position!
No matter if you apply or not the car brakes, the airbags and seatbelts deploy in a accident if the ignition key is turned in "ON" position. The Airbag system is completely independent from the brake system.

Hi The airgag system light stays on after ignition

The computer detected something wrong with the airbag system, and it's likely that the airbags will NOT deploy if you are in an accident. It could be a simple disconnected wire somewhere, or a bad sensor; not expensive to repair but you have to know exactly what to do to repair it, or you could set off the airbag instead.

Sorry, this is NOT a do-it-yourself project. Take this to your dealer or other trusted mechanic and get it repaired by a professional. If you set off the airbag trying to repair it yourself, you will cause about $2000 to $5000 (US) damage to the vehicle. And obviously, NOT having the airbag deploy in an accident when it should, could cause serious injury or death, even if you are wearing your seatbelts. (You DO wear your seltbelts, don't you?)

Airbags did not deploy when we rearended the car in front at 30mp

First, I hope you and any occupants are OK.

Could be a faulty sensor (unlikely), Did you have any error codes before the accident? If so they could have been for the airbags for whatever reason. The impact might not have been hard enough (Yeah I know 30mph).

Airbags are deployed based on measurements from accelerometers in the car. If some predetermined G-force is not met, the bags won't deploy. You could have the dealer verify a properly functioning system when the car is repaired but given you were hit from behind (negative G's) and then hit the car in front of you (positive G's), you may not have hit hard enough (for the car, not you) to have the bags deploy.

This might be handy for future reference: http://www.tonysbodyshop.com/Newsletters/airbags.htm

It says my seatbelt is not on and airbag is

Take it to a dealer and get it fixed. Do not mess with airbag sensors on your own if it deploys you can be seriously injured.

1997 saab 900S airbag worning light on

There are lots of sensors in your car that tell the Airbag Module that you are in the seat.
The seatbelts also have sensors in them and are known for going bad. Run down to your local autozone and they will have something to hook up to it to find the code that the Airbag set. That will lead you in the dirrection you need to look in. (Important) YOUR AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY WHILE THE LIGHT IS ON IF YOU ARE IN A ACCIDENT

Airbag light keeps coming on then off and on all the time

Hello, The airbag light comes on whenever there is any problem with the safety restraint systems.
This means that while the light is on the AirBag WILL NOT deploy. It could be several things....Electrical short in the Steering wheel (supplies power to Airbag), Seat belt locks (if the computer thinks the seatbelt is not in use it won't deploy the airbag), these are the most likely problems, But it could be bad or loose wiring under the dash (aftermarket Stereo?), or Impact sensors, or the Body control module. Any other lights? When does it come on / go off? Random or predictible pattern? Goods news is the car does not need an airbag to drive ... Good luck , hope that helped..
