Could be a leak in one of your hoses under the hood, a water pump gasket, thermostat leak or bad heater core. Check under the hood for any signs of leaks. If antifreeze drip onto a hot engine block, you’ll smell it coming in through the vents. If you don’t find any leaks, I’d consider the heater core having an issue possibly.

Yes it's the heater core, It's a complicated diy job and unless you are an experienced mechanic you are going to need a good workshop manual for the job.
Best of luck.

SOURCE: ??? heater core
If you smell antifreeze, the problem would be the heater core.
Another indication is when you turn on the defroster and see a oily film on your windshield.
The heater core would have to be replaced.
In order to do this the whole dashboard would have to come out to get the heater box out.
In a dealer the process would take about 4 hours from qualified mechanics who have done this before.

Sounds like your heater core is bad. Have someone check out the heating system and possibly replace heater core.. that should take care of the fog problem also by enabling you to use the defrost... Good Luck!

it sounds like coolant was also spraying the engine or something, but you need to have the codes read to know exactly whats going on.
