OBVIOUSLY MR MCDONALD...I WOULD RECOMEND TO ASK THE DEALER TO CHECK FOR ANY UPDATES AT THE BCM ENGINE ECU AND ABS ECU ALSO..

Sounds like hot soak problem on solenoid or maybe starter relay.

cannot say i have done one but the golf and polo come off on the earlier models ,perhaps its a gearbox out and flywheel off job which means its a drop out the bottom the complete unit ,i just do not know sorry

Same proceedure as front headrests but tilt the back of the seats forward about halfway. Push the little clip in on top of the seat, by the chrome rail, pull the headrest up and slide out of the hole. Push the back of the seat back, lift up the bottom seat and tilt forward. Lay the back seats down. Done.
