The front impact sensor is located under the vehicle, towards the center/driver's side. Best access is from under the vehicle with the front air deflector removed.

  • Remove the front air deflector.
  • Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (5) from the front end sensor wiring harness connector (4).
  • Disconnect the front end sensor wiring harness connector (4) from the front end sensor (1).
  • Through the access hole located in the bottom of the lower tie bar, loosen the front end sensor mounting fastener (3).
IMPORTANT: The front end sensor mounting fastener (3) has left handed threads.
  • Remove the front end sensor (1) from the lower tie bar by lifting upward and sliding rearward out of the key hole slot (2).

SOURCE: i have a 1999 buick regal ls dying.

I found the problem. It was the crank position sensor. There was also a cracked vacuum hose connecting to the diaphragm on the fuel rail. Replaced both and my 92 Buick no longer dies. For the guy who's Buick was dying when using the turn signals - replace the crank position sensor. One of my symptoms of my Buick dying was when I used my turn signals. Use of turn signals places a varying load on the electrical system which messes up the crank posistion sensor if it is going bad.

SOURCE: how to change the rear 3 spark plugs on a Buick regal LS 2002

You can try rotating the spark plug boot a little bit-not even a 1/4 turn-to break the seal between the plugand the boot. Then pull the boot wire off with a pliers on the metal boot shield. Once the boot has beet rotated on the plug, the shield helps to remove it.

Where is the Pass lock sensor on a 02 Buick Regal LS? Thanks

They are all at the lock cylinder. If you have a resistor chip on the shaft of your key, the sensor is at the top of they lock cylinder itself. If you do not have a chip on the key but have the larger key head, then you will have a halo sensor around the lock cylinder.

What does a diagnostic tool mean when saying "bank 1"...

It usually means the catalytic converter is not getting hot enough to function, but could be another issue. The sensor readings between the sensor before and the sensor after the cat are not within spec.
Bank one is the side with cylinder one, or the side with the catalytic converter.

2001 Buick Regal ls. p0171 code. Just replaced spark plugs, MAF sensor, and upstream 02 sensor. Car sputters at times going up hill typically when the engine has warmed up. The code still remains? Wha

P0171 OBD II Trouble Code This site may help locate the problem. Unfortunately these trouble codes do not necessarily pin-point a problem. They merely direct you to the general location of a problem i.e. a faulty system or circuit. So I advise you go down the list of possible causes, and check the PCV valve, and vacuum lines, etc. I hope this helps! Good Luck....

Where is mass air flow senser on a 1989 buick regal

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The BUICK Regal Mass Air Flow sensor is usually installed in the intake air duct between the air filter and the throttle body mounted on the intake manifold. Also check the throttle body for mass air flow sensors location.
On mass air flow sensors with a sense wire, this wire can become contaminated with dust particles. These particles can be removed with automotive solvents that are safe for the use on mass air flow sensors. Before replacing the mass air flow sensor check for air leaks in the connecting air ducts and intake manifold. These leaks can cause similar symptoms as a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor.

Bad or contaminated BUICK Regal Mass Air Flow sensor can possibly cause a wide range of various vehicle drivability problems such as stalling, especially when the engine is cold, misfiring, poor acceleration, etc. In addition, a problem with the Mass Air Flow sensor often causes the "check engine" or "service engine soon" light in the vehicle instrument panel to illuminate.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
