I have checked the top of the transaxle, and in the center console near the shifter. I have not torn apart the plastic encasement for the gear shifter, but have removed the 4 bolts for the gear shifter and the unit sits on top of the heat shields for the exhaust system. I have to be overlooking this switch somewhere.
It's usually attached to the clutch pedal assembly, it's just a switch that tells your vehicle that it's safe to start when you press the clutch in, for an automatic vehicle it won't allow it to start unless it's in Park or Nuetral. It's a safety thing but can be a slight pain in the neck, if they're expensive pick one up at a salvage yard or a junkyard; it'll be fine, you can change it simply with common tools. Familiarize yourself by watching q YouTube video or even a google search to make it as simple as possible on yourself when you have to actually change it. Simple, you've got this!

hi
my nissan titan 2007 batery died then i put new batery in but still cant trun on ????
SOURCE: neutral safety switch
safety switch is likely on the transmission where the shift linkage attaches
SOURCE: I have an automatic gear shift console light bulb
That is a very tough bulb to replace. Once you get the center console pieces out of the way there should be a couple of screws or blots that hold down the trim around the gear shift. Remove those and lift gentley. You will barley be able to access the bulb. but it can be done.
SOURCE: is the neutral switch the same as the transaxle range switch?
Yes they are the same part just different names. The neutral safety is part of the transmission/transaxle range selector combination switch.
