Yes. Do not engage Defroster, Heat or AC switch. Most vehicles have a pressure switch but it is better safe than sorry.

If you can flush the lines. Flush them. It cant hurt and you really don't want fine metal shavings in your new A/C Compressor.

the reason i am replaceing the compressor the clutch seized up and broke the belt what do i use to flush the lines out with?

I would use a vacuum to power flush your system. Remember to add Ester oil to your system after flushing.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1QpGb1f...

SOURCE: 2000 lincoln Navigator air suspension

There are level control sensors they look like little arms (with joints like your elbows) mountesd on lower control arms. They may be at fault they control the height and turn the pump off when the height is reached. try adjust height first before you replace, they can be adjusted. Good Luck

SOURCE: my 1998 navigator 4 wheel drive got stuck& now ac wont work

2 different electrical circut's that are unrelated. Ac on a 12 year old truck is bound to need some service. Take it to a trusted shop that is not hurting for work & ask them if anything is disconnected, ie: compressor power wire, high pressure switch...ect. Tell tale sign system is low on freon is the compressor keeps cycling on & off with a clicking sound or compressor does not come on at all.

Testimonial: "Thanks that relieves my mind that they might have disconnected something accidently. "

Is there a rear condenser fuse on 2003 Lincoln Navigator

Condenser? What type of condenser? The AC condenser is in front of the radiator. Condensers don't have fuses, they are like a radiator for AC refrigerant gas to cool it, before going to the compressor.

Have a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, have put in new A/C compressor, new drier, new condenser, new hoses, new evaporator & full of freon. But compressor want cycle, what could be my problem???

If the compressor wOnt cycle, it means that the pressure is not correct. How much freon, (and what type) did you put in, and did you PULL DOWN (with vacuum) the system to about -29 inches before putting the freon in? Did you use manifold gauges? If so, what is the high pressure, and what is the low pressure, at what ambient temperature?

I have a 1999 Lincoln navigator, my ac compressor works but I can't seem to fill it with coolant... What may be my problem? I've checked the fuses also !

If the AC compressor runs and doesn't cycle excessively then it is fully charged and adding more refrigerant would only damage it. Why don't you state the problem you are having and why you think it needs refrigerant.

2003 Lincoln LS hot air while stopped cold while driving

Hello
Based on what you have said and my 30 years a Ford dealer tech I believe you have a slightly low AC system refrigerant charge due to a small leak at the AC compressor or the AC line connections. I would have a shop hook up a set of gauges to monitor the pressures at idle and see just how low it is. DO NOT ADD UNTIL YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IS NEEDED, YOU CAN LOCK UP THE COMPRESSOR.
