SOURCE: Windshield wiper fluid won't squirt

When you pull the lever to activate the windshield washers, do you hear any type of sound coming from under the hood?  A whirring sound should be heard from the little electric pump that feds the washers.
If you can hear the whir, then you should look for a possible clog in the washer hoses (there is more than one...).
If you cannot hear the whirr, then you should check the fuse that protects the windshield washer circuit.  Check your owner's manual for the location and correct amperage for this circuit.
Good luck!

SOURCE: I think my van has a clogged windshield nozzle.

First try to clean out the squirter nozzles.Take a very small wire, sometimes a staple works great, and stick it into the nozzle to clear any debris. Then try to spray it again. If this didn't solve the problem and the debris is cleared, then you either have a weak or blocked pump, which is located on the washer reservoir itself.Hope I could help!!! Rate me accordingly!! Thanks!

Testimonial: "Great info. I made it through step one and no fix. Being a female car moron, I'll have to research how to locate the pump. Many thanks for your help"

For a 1998 Mercedes SLK Automatic when engine warms the transmission won't go in reverse

Could be mechanical, fluid or electronic problem.

Fault will be indentified with a diagnostic scanner. Check for shop with a Star or Launch scanner.
If they don't understand your request...run away !

Being as it happens warm, I would think it is a bad forward clutch drum seal allowing fluid pressure to drop below operating pressure. If so, trans' will need repair.

Check here for shop in your area ....http://www.iatn.net/shopfinder/

...........or see your friendly Mercedes dealership service department.

Hard top problem: 1991 Mercedes 300 sl (Leak on corners in front)

Just had mine fixed last week. Your hydrolic hose is busted and once all the fluid leaks out, your top will STOP working. Mine stopped in mid-air!!! We had to put it up manually which was NOT easy. Also, the fluid leaked and ruined my leather headliner. Cost to repair convertible top was approximately $800.
