Take some starting fluid and have someone spray it in the throttle body while you crank it. If it starts and then dies it’s not getting fuel. Could be a fuel pump, could be fuel pump relay which I’d check first and it could be outta gas if your gas. Even tho your gas gauge reads it has fuel. I actually had a car that was purchased from the auction and it ran fine until the people at the auction put gas in it then it wouldn’t run at all. Took me about 10 minutes to figure it out but cars won’t run on pond water. Apparently they left their gas can out in the rain with a funnel in the spout. ??????? Now if it doesn’t do anything when you spray staring fluid in it, it could be other things like your crank position sensor. Really need more info on what happened. Was you driving it and it died? Or did u just get in it and it wouldn’t start?
Please verify that you hear the fuel pump powered up when you first turn on the key. I’m not to sure what’s going on without more details.

MOST LIKELY THE FUEL PUMP HAS FAILED, WHEN U TURN THE KEY TO RUN POSITION DO U HEAR A HUMMING NOISE FROM THE FUEL TANK? THIS NOISE WILL STOP IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS, U CAN HEAR IT BETTER BY TAKING OFF THE GAS CAP AND LISTENING THERE, IF U HEAR NOTHING THEN THE PUMP WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

SOURCE: 2000 gmc jimmy won't start changed fuel pump cam sensor? could it be emc?
Start with the passlock security system. It includes the ignition key, ignition switch, and passlock module undder the dash. Had the same problem. It was the security system shutting off the fuel to the injectors after the initial start but dies in one second. VERY common problem fo GM and chevy.
