SOURCE: fuel filter location

The oil filter is in an aluminum cylinder on the engine. It is not a "spin on" filter, it is now a cartridge-type filter. When you get one, make sure that you use the new o-rings provided in the filter box. The fuel filter is in the tank. Hope this helps, the graciousness of a FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

SOURCE: Cadillac Starting after gas fill up

I'd first try a different gas station... and make sure you're putting in premium if required. And also make sure that you get the gas cap on right... sounds stupid but it can cause problems.

The fuel filter on these vehicles is attached to the underbody, in front of the fuel tank. Note that there are no service intervals for in-line fuel filter replacement. Only replace the filter if performance problems or troubleshooting indicates the filter is restricted.

The Location of the oil filter depends on which engine you have in your CTS. the 3.2 engine the oil filter is located on the bottom of the engine to the left of the oil pan. It is not a screw on type filter it is a canister filter. You will have to unscrew the lid to gain access to the oil filter. On the 3.6 Engine the oil filter is also a canister filter but it is located on the top side of the engine. On the drivers side around the center of the engine cover. It will take a 15/16 socket to remove the lid.

05 Cadillac will not start after spinning out on interstate.

there is an oil pressure switch that shuts the fuel off if the key is on and the engine has no pressure. the switch is useally located near the oil filter on the block, this is not a common problem so it is unlikely it is your cause of no fuel pressure.
